It is written in a novel, even though the novels aren't Canon, that Ra was as Asgard. Specifically, the Asgard Famrir, to be precise. Once Ra left Famrir's he rejoined the rest of the Asgard but was permanently "damaged" having been a host drove him, and he raged an aggressive and unrelenting war against the goa'uld. Like I said though it's all in the novel and not Canon, so take it with a grain of salt.
