After the midway station was destroyed why not rebuild it? They would've only needed one MW gate and 1 Pegasus gate to do it? Only this time only use space gates to get to it to keep the wraith from hacking it.

Maybe htey thought, since the wraith easily broke in the first time, doing a 2nd was courting more danger than it was worth.. BUT using jumpers they could have just kept the midway station in that skeletal form they had.... -

It would definitely slow them down. I would also suggest making the station bigger and having a small contingent of marines on the base to monitor the "traffic." Even in the SGC where they had an iris and on Atlantis that had a shield they also had marines with guns ready to fire at possible enemy infiltrators.Originally posted by garhkal View PostComment

Pegasus is contained because the wraith have no way to Earth. Midway was supposed to be a secret base so we could reinforce atlantis safely. Now that has changed. The risk of a direct path to Earth (known by the wraith) is simply not worth the effort of keeping it safe.Originally posted by Bhousden View Post

exactly, the tria is supposedly still in tact. Unless it is without power, remember McKay depleted the ZPM so the ancients would've needed to power Atlantis somehow.
