    Save Chevron - UK's ONLY dedicated Stargate con

    Apologies if this has already been posted.

    Chevron was the only Stargate convention in the UK, until the organisers announced that this year's event (8.3) was the last due to falling attendance. This is a fan campaign to urge Massive Events to re-consider their decision. If you have attended in the past or would like to go, please go to the website and complete 3 very quick polls to show your support - please also fill in the 'virtual' ticket request (no cost, no obligation to buy real tickets if the event goes ahead).

    Please also feel free to spread the word - let's Save Chevron!

      Neither did a lot of other people, which seems to be partly the reason for the fall in attendence. Please share the message far and wide, fellow Gateworlders!

        I've done the polls too. I've only had the pleasure of attending 3 of these events over the years but after how much the lass and I enjoyed the last event, we were absolutely gutted to hear there were no more planned as we would have been there! We'd definitely come to another if there was one.

        Have you heard anything from Massive Events in response to your campaign?

          It's (sadly) not my campaign, I'm just raising awareness, but the last I heard was ticket 'sales' were at 237 out of 300. I think the deadline is coming up very soon, so we can only hope that something comes of it. I've never actually made it to a Chevron

            I really hope Massive Events continues Chevron - I've been to two - 7.2 and 8.1 and enjoyed them. My issue is that I'm in the US - I have no problem paying for a gold ticket ((and find the prices reasonable), but it needs to be a good lineup for me to splurge for a plane ticket to the UK. I understand that guest commitments can change, but the lineups for the last 2 cons were simply not worth it for me.

              The campaign has almost reached its target for virtual ticket sales, but they still need about 600 more people to register interest. Even if you wouldn't plan to actually attend the convention, just visting the website and clicking 'interested' would be a huge boost. Please do share wherever you can. Many thanks.

                I voted, thought I don't know if I would ever get to go being from the US but it would be really fun to do so if i ever could!

                  The campaign has nearly reached 300 virtual tickets sold, just 16 to go! They still need to increase the 'interested' total though, so please share around if you can.

                        I am one of the organisers for the 'Save Chevron' Campaign and we would like to say thank you for everyone's support.

                        Thank you PuddleJ for starting this thread as well.

                        We have still not heard anything yet from ME but they will be looking at the figures over the next couple of weeks.

                        We are keeping everything crossed that we do get another con.

                        As said in previous posts we do need more people to say they are interested. These are people who will promote for us even if they can't make it. The more we can get the message out there the better for us...
