    Stargate Reboot Trilogy

Here's some news about Dean Devlin and the Stargate reboot.

Dean Devlin on ‘Stargate’ Reboot: ‘It’s to Let Us Finish Telling Our Story’

    Here's an excerpt:

In the company’s discussions about revitalizing “Stargate,” Glickman says, it was decided that “the only way to really give a boost of adrenaline and give the franchise the rebirth that it deserves was to bring back Roland and Dean.”

Well, there's not much we can do but see how it plays out. It was obviously on the cards for awhile. I'll wait for the first trailer to form an opinion. Emmerich's movies tend to go both ways.. there's Stargate, Independence Day and then there's Moon 44, White House Down *shivers*

And that's what i mean, but also it means more Stargate however.... i also feel it doesn't need to be rebooted

            Ill wait and see

Well i'm definitely curious, and i'll decide how i feel when i've seen it.

I see no problems with a reboot (early SG1 episodes make my eyes water with how poor the quality now looks), i'd love to see more of my favorite world.

I'm also now curious what that trilogy would've been. If people decide it's bad, well we had three series that essentially ignored and overwrote the original movie so it's not like a future show can't do the same.

Well, at least there's another reason to be optimistic:

But is it worth having more stargate if its bad and pushes people away??

Remember at the time, the original Stargate movie wasn't great. It didn't get rave reviews or the like. I don't think a new Trilogy of Stargate movies is gonna turn people away from the tv shows.
