non sci-fi/fantasy book recommendations

I don't read many non sci-fi / fantasy books, but occasionally I read something I enjoy.

I just finished The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins. I was pleasantly surprised and quite enjoyed it.

I don't know if there's a thread but I can reccommend Goodreads as a great book/review depository.

Last non-fiction I read was The Guest Cat by Takashi Hiraide.

If you've ever been friends, or are friends with a cat that isn't yours than this is a very recognizable story. It's really lovely.

One book I like and own is First Lady of the Seeing Eye. It's about how The Seeing Eye organization started. Jack Morris was the first ever blind man to get a dog and start the organization. It's a great book!
