3 days after its release the Dark Matter trailer reached more than 70000 views in you tube. The last time that this happened for a syfy series was Defiance 2 years ago.

Is it better to watch the series as a blank slate?
    OR
Is it better to read the comic books first?

To read or not to read. I enjoy immensely The Walking Dead without any knowledge of the comic books. And yet I almost bought the Dark Matter comics after watching the series promo. I hesitated. I ran here to seek opinions.

I'm a space opera junkie. Love any scifi in space so I'm looking forward to this one. I wonder if it has any Dark Energy as well?

This has all the winnings of a successful sci-fi series. David Hewlett, Joe Malozi, good premise.

    Can't wait.

It looks promising. It's one of the few shows I'm waiting for in June.
Fancy Lee: Every organization needs its designated a**h***. That is my gift to the Killjoy collective. The a**h*** may not be liked, but he will always be necessary, because he does what's needed.
    Killjoy, 1x06, One blood
    --------------------
Clint Barton: Why am I back? How'd you get him out?
Natasha Romanoff: Cognitive re-calibration. I hit you really hard in the head.
    The Avengers
    ---------------------
Clint Barton: The city is flying and we're fighting an army of robots. And I have a bow and arrow. Nothing makes sense.
    The Avengers: Age of Ultron
    --------------------

At least their name won't be too difficult to remember.

Well the characters are not very origial but they are adequate. Of course the important thinng is how the actors will impersonate the characters , how the characters will evolve and, most importtant, what the story will be.

I wonder if they make this a shared universe with The Expanse/Defiance & Killjoys?
