Yep strange things happen when weekends and themes come close together.

Let's have fun with the end of season 5 (for the US anyway) and spend some time in Downton/Highclere Castle with the Crawleys and their motley crew of servants.

The Christmas special airs this weekend in the US (so no spoilers please, let's let everyone have their gobsmack moment)

So brush up on yer manners and iron your petticoats.

If folks can't have the title they like, they can always change their sig or avatar (if they have the post count that is) to reflect their preferences.

I've bought the dvds so I know how it ends. I can't wait to see other people experience it. (which is why I want to be a spoiler meanie, because I don't want any squee moments ruined for those that don't know)

The Dowager Countess (who is my favourite character and the only reason I watch Downton) is Lord Grantham's mother and she is played by Maggie Smith. Lord Grantham is played by Hugh Bonneville.
