Animals that reproduce asexually are copies of the same animal from generations before they are exactly the same.

As awesome as biology is....no. They're never *exactly* the same, because the copying process is not *perfect*. It's not much of a difference, but then again evolution is a process of many generations.

Cloning is possible - see Dolly.
Here is the question if it should be done with humans.
Shall we play 'God' - whichever god there is?
If parthenogenesis had proofed to be successful for the human race evolution would have led us there. It hasn't - so cloning cannot be a good solution.

It's also the perfect example of the numerous problems associated with it.

We shouldn't *play* god, rather we should be serious about it.

Evolution is a random process with a biased filter. There's no intellect behind it.

Maybe that's why evolution has been successful for oh so many years!!!

No joke intended - as soon as intellect takes over the aim will be dominated by a longing for power and the elite!!!

Yea no. Even at it's most basic all life seeks dominance. We may be an intelligent species, but we're still bound by the same shackles as our African Savannah-dwelling ancestors. Our body still acts like we're hunter-scavengers in stead of a guy that can walk to a burger joint at any moment of the day and get stuffed.

Dominance, power, elite, they're fueled by the same system that a lion on the Savannah is subjected to. In fact, only by fighting instinct with intellect have we actually gotten any further.

And intellect is the reason why we - the human species - destroy our own habitat? Those driven by instinct haven't done that before!
