The Gate-Universe was the first generation of stargate ever made but...why we exist only at the edge of the universe and not the other way, like. in our galaxy?

Another problem by the way.
The milky way gate seems more old and rudimental than others! The universe-gate for a gate of first generation seems more advanced for design and glyph. Is a little incoerent.

Quite simply, MW gates are designed to be more rugged, less prone to failure and more based around function. Given that at least one MW gate lasted ~50 million years, it's clear that the MW gatenetwork was meant to last. Also, solar flares and energy weapons don't wreck it as much.
MW and Destiny gates have different purposes so while the Destiny gate may be designed to be more easily manufactured, the MW gate was designed to ensure a safe, durable way to travel.
