The Clone Wars Legacy - Beyond Season 6

Clone Wars fans! Just trying to make sure everyone stays in the loop For anyone unaware, The Clone Wars has continued to tell stories--regarded as canon under the new Disney regime--since the ending of the series on TV.

First, we received 13 completed episodes under the banner The Lost Missions, effectively comprising Season 6. These were released on Netflix earlier this year, though no DVD/BD release date has yet been announced.

More recently, Dark Horse published a 4-issue comic arc entitled Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir, which follows up on where Maul's story ended in Season 5. This storyline has been said to have been the planned Season 6 finale.

Not long ago, a further TCW story was announced in the form of a novel: a book that will feature prominent appearances by both Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos. We don't yet know where this one will fall in the overall timeline, but its title was announced today as Dark Disciple.

The big news TODAY was the release of a series of "Story Reel" episodes available at StarWars.com. These are episodes which are fully voiced and plotted, but the animation is only roughed out. It includes episodes A Death on Utapau, In Search of the Crystal, and Crystal Crisis.

So The Clone Wars continues on after the end of regular broadcast! It appears the order flows:

    1. The Lost Missions (Season 6, Netflix)
    2. Crystal Crisis on Utapau (Story Reels, placement based on DM: SoD being S6 finale)
    3. Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir
    ?. Dark Disciple (placement TBA)

Additionally, there were a pair of episodes planned which would have dealt with a 'defective' group of clones and seen the reappearance of Echo, retconning his Season 3 death into just a serious injury. These episodes were to be The Bad Batch and A Distant Echo. Whether these episodes are considered part of official canon is unclear.

Interesting. I'm still leaning toward wait and see what Episode VII is like before I make up my mind about Disney Wars, however.
I tell you Teal'c, hockey is the coolest game on Earth!

Did you not say it is played on ice, O'Neill?

Hopefully when the LOST MISSIONS get a DVD/BD release they will include the STORY REELS as bonus content.

Excellent..that must be the missing one then. Previously there were links to 'Crystal Crisis' and 'The Big Bang', but they went to the same episode.

I thought the third episode ended a bit open ended when I watched them...
They must have forgotten to add the fourth one or something
