    GermanAstra's action figures in action

I recently got my first Arrow figures and they are absolutely awesome. Can't wait to play more with them. Here is my first story, one of my favourite scenes from season 1, the final confrontation between Oliver Queen and Malcolm Merlyn. Hope you like it!

This is beyond awesome! In addition to the new figures we will be able to build a complete Arrow cave. I mean, how cool is that? Makes me wonder though why there is no salmon ladder, as iconic as it is... but the tables and boxes and even the glass vitrine with the suit? Absolutely awesome. And the Dark Archer. Can't mention that enough

Check out pictures of the new figures (Black Canary, Flash, a new Deathstroke, a new Arrow, and Oliver with naked chest) here: http://www.mtv.com/news/1866352/the-...ction-figures/

I have a new picture story with figures that are not original but I don't let that stop me! These are supposed to be Moira and Malcolm aka Tara from "Buffy" and Wesley from "Angel".

The Merlyn Mansion - not to be confused with Marilyn Manson:

"War and Peace" - interesting reading choice...

Note: What if there is a completely harmless explanation like that time when John Barrowman wanted to get his husband from the gym where he was supposed to be but never turned up and was thought to be cheating? Turned out, he was taking secret dance lessons... I can just see it: Robert wanting to impress Moira by taking dance lessons.

Note: The drink in Malcolm's hand is Vodka Tonic, the favourite drink of John Barrowman.

And so it all began... Note: I did these pictures in the morning, and when I came home in the evening, they still were at it. If you like, you also can read a novelisation about this scene in my story "The lifes and deaths of Malcolm Merlyn" here in chapter 3: http://archiveofourown.org/works/970...apters/1960372

I made a salmon ladder for my Oliver today!

I cut out the pieces from thick cardboard:

          That's what they look like:

          All the tools:

These red and blue pieces will make the "feet" of the salmon ladder. I got them from a children's magazine which I bought in the UK - they are meant to use for playing a game.

I glued the pieces to a wooden stick:

To make sure I hammered in a few nails:

I painted it to make it look rusty:

          Then I weathered it:

          Original:

My version - the bar needs to be painted yet (I know the hands are the wrong way):

Well, that was the longest wait ever for a figure. But now the Dark Archer is in da house! As well as Deadshot, both are great figures with many nice details. Click the LJ cut to see them all!

            Some thoughts:

At first I thought Malcolm has the same green and yellow arrow like Oliver, but it is longer and the tip is shaped differently. I just painted it black to match the ones in the quiver.

I am surprised about their elbows. Oliver in green Arrow suit had joints that were able to move up and down as well as turn around. Now both the Dark Archer and Deadshot have a joint in their right arm which moves up and down and in their left are one that only turns. Which means that the left arm cannot bend and is always stretched out. Deadshot can't even hold his weapon with both hands properly?

Malcolm also can't hold the scimitar I made in his right hand, I had to give it to his left for the fight. I took pictures of him sharpening it, but they are not quite like what we saw on TV. But in the fight picture, you can even see the sharp edge of the blade glinting in the sun. Because I did sharpen it indeed as well. Cool!

Also, I never noticed the golden detail on his boots? There are many layers at this figure, it is seriously cool and well done. Go grab them, it's money well spent!

In October we'll get Diggle and Felicity and Roy, I will have a nice collection soon. Also on their way yet are Oliver as Arrow.2 and the Flash.

                    A little explanation:

This week's Arrow episode "Eleven-Fifty-Nine" had a magic idol that can give a bad guy bad powers. And they kept it right where he would be able to find and steal it. Here is my idea how the whole thing could have gone differently!
