Powers for Skye or no powers? (spoiler alert)

So recently we learned that an entire village and a SHIELD team where killed in either an attempt to capture or kill Skye when she was very young.... why? And is she going to be discovered to have powers? If she going to turn out to be someone we know from the comics? What are your thoughts on the matter of Skye.

To be honest, though i would rather her NOT have powers, it would make sense, since they DID consider her an 'unknown object of alien origins..

I'm okay with Skye not having any kind of super power. I would also prefer that the show gave very little screen time in future episodes to super powered beings. If they do have a super powered individual as part of the group, there is the risk that the show changes from "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" to "Skye and the Agents of SHIELD". Skye is just not that interesting a character.

I'm also a bit of an old-schooler here. To me the SHIELD comic was all about an organization consisting of highly trained, non-super powered people who usually fought against similar individuals/groups (eg. HYDRA). Every once in a while there was an issue where they would be involved in taking down a foe who was bigger than the usual fish (eg. ZODIAC).

SHIELD had a niche group of villainy which they confronted.

This being said, if they did give Skye some sort of super-power then I hope it would be a very minor ability. Perhaps they could make her a bit like Gary from "Alphas", able to perform as the computer specialist in the group but perhaps just a bit more efficient in how she interacts with technology.

      regards,
      G.

        Skye is Daisy Johnson(a.k.a Quake)!!!
And she is also an inhuman!!!!
        Powers:
        1. Earthquake generation
        2. Immunity to the harmful effects of the vibrations
        3. Psychic shielding

In Earth-616, she is one of the three level 10 SHIELD Operative beside Fury and Black Widow!!

Well so far we have had, what 3 real 'super power' characters? 4 if you consider lady sif.
You had the black guy in the intro (who is now deathlok)
          The fire producing asian
          The light sapping guy.

What rest we have had were either asgardian themselves (Sif and the gal she came after) or hyped up from that staff!

I completely forgot about the one who froze stuff.

And i was reminded elsewhere on the one who gained the powers to control the weather.
