If you want to do something about it, then just pick the old one up and give it few more seasons. I'd still not be in favor of this, but at least it's not going to be an abomination.

To me the best thing they could do is have the show be about 4 or so late twenties early thirties women, who belong to a coven. They aren't necessary related to each other and are not related to the halliwells. The show would be about their lives and balancing them with their coven, work life, social life, etc. It would be set in the same universe, so they'd have a whitelighter but they would just be a recurring character and wouldn't be romantically involved with them.
