Which looks just the way you’d expect a space opera from the creator of Lost Girl to look.
I certainly hope it is more worthwhile than the soft porn that is "Lost Girl". I started watching LG at the outset, but it swiftly descended to being just filler between gratuitous sex scenes as far as I'm concerned and gave up on it.

          wow! i was impressed!
Yes it's campy but it's real fun. Good acting. good cgi, fun characters but with personality, a well crafted worldbuilding and a true space opera. This is much better than dark matter.
Lovretta said that after episode 4 will be more serialization.

I like it a lot as well. Certainly more dynamic than the first part of Dark Matter. I'm looking forward to the second one.

I liked it too, but mainly in a guilty pleasure sort of way. Depends on if they want to keep it light or get more gritty with the characters. It is better than Dark Matter, but that's not saying much.

I think the show it's just that: a guilty pleusure. I suspect it will become later in the season a little more serious but not much. But at least it has better acting, decent dialogues and is better directed. So we should enjoy it for what it is without many expectations.

Can we have a sub forum for this? btw i don't understand why Dark Matter got its sub forum while 12 monkeys and this didn't.

Probably because of its Stargate connection.

I really liked the first episode of this show, it was fun and I like the characters so far. I'm looking forward to the next ep.

                            Episode 1 ratings

                            0.966 mil. viewers
                            0.26 adult rating

Well i didn't expect more. Perhaps since this is primarely a space channel production the canadian ratings will also matter but i'm not optimistic. It was a bad friday for syfy.
With bad ratings for Defiance, Dark Matter and Killjoys i wonder what syfy will do. Will they renew any of these?

I liked that a lot. Definitely far more enjoyable than Dark Matter.

It feels a lot more 'real' and 'alive' than Dark Matter and I like the main characters from the get go.

Btw, have you noticed the ship's funny quips?

The bar for imports is always lower as SyFy has to pay less compared to US shows
