cool, maybe I'll try this out next year, is it hard to get any tickets? or can you buy them normally some month before the event? Will there be tickets left untill christmas?

Great con, and I recommend it. If you want to get into the Maritim, which is the main hotel, book early, but there are plenty of satellite hotels to choose from.

and have you experience with the tickets? are they quickly sold out?

I think it depends a bit on the announced guests. But I'm not really sure, only have been there two times so far. This year we still got weekend tickets at the beginning of April, that was a month before the FedCon. The year before (with RDA and William Shatner) we just went there and were lucky to get a day ticket, and weekend tickets were sold out. Next year's FedCon will start at the end of May, so there's some more time to think about it. But te earlier you buy it the better seats you get in the panels.
And I can't say anything about hotels, we live not so far away, and on this weekend is always some other event where I want to be, so we drive home every day.

And I've just found out it's only a 2 hour drive from my husband's family's place in Belgium....looking very likely that we'll be at our very first Fedcon next year!..

Hi. I've been told that the Con starts on Thursday. But at what time (or at least morning or evening)? And are there already panels and stuff on that day?
Can you also tell me at what time the Con closes on Sunday?

This year it started at 1.30 PM with panels, the Opening Ceremony started at 6.30 PM. The Closing Ceremony was supposed to end at 5.15 PM, but as far as I remember it was much later.
