Christmas Fundraiser for Sanctuary for Kids - send Christmas cards to Amanda Tapping!

For the fourth year in a row, we're asking fans to open up their wallets, reach deep into their pockets, scrounge for change between their couch cushions and break open their piggy banks to help Sanctuary for Kids help kids in need all over the world. And as an added bonus, you get to personally wish Amanda Tapping a Merry Christmas while you're at it!
So how exactly does Operation North Pole work? Well, all you have to do is make or buy a Christmas card for Amanda and send it to us along with a donation to Sanctuary for Kids of at least $5 CAD by Friday, December 7, 2012 and we will put together a package containing all the cards as well as the donation total and send it to Amanda. We're also auctioning off two signed photos from Amanda Tapping this year so keep an eye out for that announcement!
If you have any doubts about whether or not this project is legitimate and whether or not your cards will actually get to Amanda, Operation North Pole is included on the community page of the Sanctuary for Kids website the official Twitter account for Sanctuary for Kids tweeted about it. If you'd prefer that Amanda herself confirm it for you, you can watch this video; Amanda mentions Operation North Pole by name and has some of the cards from previous years sitting behind her.
How do you make a donation? Sanctuary for Kids has indicated that they prefer online donations. When donating, put “Operation North Pole” in the comments section of the donation form. If you choose to donate online, please print a copy of your PayPal receipt (making sure your name and donation amount are clearly marked) and send it with your card. You can also forward us an electronic copy of your receipt instead and send your card separately. We do understand that not everybody has the ability to donate online so, if this is the case, you may send a money order with your card. Please ensure that all money orders are in CANADIAN DOLLARS and made out to SANCTUARY FOR KIDS. Cards will only be included if they have a donation confirmation or money order with them as the point of this project is to raise money for Sanctuary for Kids. Please, no cash or cheques.
We ask that all cards be sent no later than FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2012 as we will need time to get everything together and would like to mail the cards before Christmas. We will make sure all cards get to Amanda, even if they arrive late, as long as they are postmarked by December 7.
Feel free to get a little creative with your Christmas wishes. You're welcome to send drawings, a video message on a CD or DVD, handwritten letters (keeping in mind the point of this is to wish Amanda a Merry Christmas and she does have a mailing address for generic fanmail), etc. All we ask is that everything fit in a 9x12" envelope (if you've got a REALLY great idea and you're not sure if it will be too big, send us an email and we'll see if we can accommodate you).
If you are not able to send us something in the mail, you are welcome to email us a message (typed or scanned), a card made using a computer program, etc. and we'll be happy to print it out for you. You will still need to forward us an electronic copy of your PayPal receipt so we know you've made a donation. All emails must be received by MONDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2012 or they will not be included. (THIS DEADLINE IS FOR EMAILS ONLY. ALL CARDS MUST STILL BE POSTMARKED BY DECEMBER 7.)
In order to ensure that all cards are received and included, we ask that you email us at [email protected] and let us know that you have sent your card along with your donation confirmation or money order. If you don't email us, we'll have no way of contacting you if there's a problem or if we haven't received your card.
