    STARGATE UNIVERSE MOVIE TRILOGY - AN EDNING TO A GREAT TV SERIES - Fan Fic

    Part I: The Fake Ship
    The Eli-AI has a long discussion with the Destiny-AI and right before the Destiny-AI takes and kills him, he figures out that something else is wrong with the ship. This makes Eli-AI to finally start listening to the original AI, eabling Eli to warn the others about the ship and to stop the Destiny-AI to proceed with its plan. Young and Camile bring Daniel and McKay to the Destiny via the communication stones and order them to take a look at the Destiny's database and see if they're able to locate anything that looks out of place. After hours spent on the ship, the two do manage to find something that's out of place by accident and tell everyone to leave the ship ASAP before it's too late. The crew does abandon the ship, not knowing why did they have to suddenly leave Destiny. Once the last member of the crew is evacuated to the planet, chosen for the crew's evacuation, McKay and Daniel step trough the Stargate, eventually ending the stone connection. Back on Earth, both Daniel and McKay reveal to SG-1 that the Destiny crew was on was an imposter ship and that the real Destiny wasn't even launched yet.

    Part II: The Rescue Mission
    Part II of the movie resumes with the crew still wondering why did they have to abandon the ship on such a short notice. Meanwhile, the imposter Destiny suddenly explodes somewhere in the Universe for no appearant reason and Eli returns to normal once again shortly after loosing and than resuming his consciousness without any recollection of what happened. The others tell him what went on, but he refuses to believe it that he almost got fried by a ancient ship's AI.
    Meanwhile, the main SG-1 and SGA teams come together and unite their strength and organize a search party for the missing crew. On a random planet, they come across a ship which resembles the imposter Destiny. Upon confirming that the newly discovered undamaged ship is the real Destiny, MacKay and Daniel come across a program which allows to search for missing people. Meanwhile, the missing crew members try to proove to Eli that they are telling him the truth. Daniel and McKay finish uploading the crew's profiles to Destiny's main computer and manage to activate its engines. SG-1 and SGA teams abandon the ship knowing that if they stay on it, they might not be able to return back to Earth. The real Destiny locates the missing crew successfully and teleoports them onboard the ship, along with their personal belongings.

    With no way to contact the Earth, the crew tries to dial the Earth's address, but the connection can be held of only short period of times, because the ship has been laying dormant for millions of years and has ran out of 90 % of its energy. However, Young and Camile do manage to send a note to Jack O' Neill in which they reveal that they're on the real Destiny now.

    Eli and Rush confirm that the real Destiny has the same amount of database stored in it as the fake one, they even come accross a full version of Novus database, which they haven't been able to fully download due to known events. With the information in new database, they heal Perry's vision and also T.J.'s sickness. Eli & Rush fly the ship into a star and get it re-charged. They re-dial Earth and everyone returns home, never looking or going back to the ship.

    In the final scene of Part II of the movie, we see a holographic recording of what went on millions of years ago: A fellow Ancient decided to turn his back on his own kind and during a fight against the Blue Aliens, hoping for even greater knowledge and power, he started attacking his own friends. However, his "new friends" betrayed him and he was cursed and forced to abandon the development of the Ship of the Ancestors. His remaining former friends secretly built another ship, named it Destiny and hid it on the planet, on which the SG-1 and SGA teams found it millions of years later. Meanwhile, the original ship was finished by the cursed Ancient and he gave his ship the same name and appointed the same mission to it. His ship got involved into a fight, in which he lost his life and the ship was heavily damaged.Due to real Destiny being a heavily guarded secret, the fake Destiny took the place of the real one, thus keeping the real one still in one piece.

    Part III: Completing Destiny’s mission
    In Part III of the movie (why not end SGU with a trilogy?), a couple of years later some random events make the members of the former crew re-consider their original decision and decide to return to the Destiny, no matter what. They're re-united and Young is put in charge of the military personel, while Camile is put in charge of the civillians. They re-gather everyone, eventually finding out that everyone wasn't able to go back to their normal lives because they haven't had a real closure to the Destiny stuff. At the same time, the fake Destiny somehow makes a return and tries to capture the entire crew, but the real Destiny arrives and saves everyone in the last moment. The fake Destiny, now being boarded by the Ursini and the Blue Aliens (who have now joined forces) tries to fight the real one, however, the real Destiny still manages to win the battle. It is revealed that the fake destiny exploding was a fake (not to the characters, though).

    Rush, Eli and Young go trough the now-updated database once again and find out that the Ursni are the creation of the cursed Antient who turned his back on his friends. Also, it seems that the Ursini are now being controled by the Blue Aliens, who have prefected their experiment they had previously done on Chloe and are using the Ursini for their dirty work, something that haven't been able to do with the cursed Antient, who is now revealed to have been manipulated by the Blue Aliens as well. Their mission is to wipe out any Stargate technology left in the Universe and create their own similar technology, which would enable them to conquer the entire Universe. They briefly take control over Chloe, however, with the help of her friends, she is able to escape the control and break away from it. With the information in her head, aquired during the mind-control, Chloe is able to provide the crew with a way to defeat the fake Destiny and its crew. They succeed and Destiny resumes its mission, eventually completing it 20 years later. Meanwhile, the crew learns how to live in the Universe as space travellers.

    The Destiny crew members, now with their grandchildren, safely return to Earth with Destiny, where they are welcomed by now elderly members of SG-1 and SGA teams and the next generations of their families. Everyone goes back to their normal lives and a new generation of SG teams continues to explore the Universe with the use of Atlantis and Destiny. The Universe is a peaceful place now, there's no more alien threats and new, more advanced human and alien species live in harmony. There's no more evil Goa'ulds, Wraith or Blue Aliens or any other evil alines, threatening to conquer everyting. The Earth has become both scientifically and technologocally advanced and the Stargate program has been legally proclaimed and recognized as a space exploration device only and has been taken over by the scientists of Earth.

    Trilogy Notes:
    -The Hidden Plot: The real Destiny wasn’t even launched yet:
    That would be a hiddeen plot, but important for possible later sequels. It would be revealed that in the fake Destiny, the destinies of the crew members would repeat over and over again (it would be like a constant time loop for them) just with certain details changed everytime the crew's time on (fake) Destiny would begin, but none versions of the crew would make it back home and every version of their story would have a sad ending. Everytime it would end with everyone dying and further inspection of the Universe would reveal that the fake Destiny has inherited the cursed Anceint's curse that was placed on him.
    It would also be revealed that the cursed Ancient's computer was hacked by his former freinds that he betrayed and that's why the real Destiny, although it wasn't launched yet, was able to gather every piece of information from the fake one. Not only that, it was able to fully download the database of the Novus people even if the fake Destiny couldn't do it, which makes the real Destiny be far more advanced.

    So basically, instead of actually launching their ship, the Ancients had a fake and cursed one do all the work, whilst keeping the real one somewhere safe and had it gather data from all across the Universe without it even having to move or having a single gate/communication stone connection to take place on it.

    Anyway, the crew gets away from the fake one, which allows them to complete their mission years later on the real Destiny (whcih looks exactly as the fake one, but obviously, more preserved one and more advanced, which enables Eli, Rush and Chloe to continue their research of the ship right were they last left off).
    Oh, and the ship chooses them as its rightfull owners near the end of the journey, which allows Earth to explore the Universe even further and become super-advanced WAY AHEAD OF TIME.
    Of course, the new crew would be the grandchildren of the existing crew members.

    -Plot requirement: The Ancients have already reached “that part of the Universe”:
    The Ancients didn't reach that part of the Universe. They just made the ship, their traitor made the fake ship while not knowing about the real one, and their successors made the journey to that part of the Universe. This perfectly goes with the part of the show's actual plot - the Ancients never actually boarded Destiny, but their successors did with their own ship(s), with the knowledge of the Ancients which contained a copy of Destiny's database that was built up to that point. The Ancinents then ascended, knowing that they have completed their mission and that the real Destiny is safe and constantly updating its database thanks to the feed from the fake ship and other random sources that the fake is/might be connected to at certain points of the journey.

    And the successors? They are the (enter number here) generation of the predecessors of the current crew, the crew's predecessors are the (enter number here) generation of their kind and the existing crew are the (enter number here) generation of their kind.

    -Where is the “traitor generation” currently located?
    A couple of options:
    - they died during a massive battle;
    - the curse of the cursed Ancient was tranferred to them as well, forcing them to go into hiding until their final monents;
    - they are still alive, but there's not enough of them to actually re-claim the fake Destiny (or the real one, if they found out about it somehow, but I wouldn't go that far with the story if I were the showrunner);
    - they were simply wiped out by the Blue Aliens, which enabled them to do the stuff, seen in the show without the traitor generation bothering them and giving them a hard time;
    - there was a massive volcano on the planet the traitor generation was located at, which went boom on them, but before the lava from the volcano finsihed off their planet, the traitor generation managed to send their successors to somewhere safe, before they were all fried & burned by the lava. Their successors spread all over the Universe, never to be united ever again. A portion of those successors arrived on Earth, which resulted in existance of the Destiny crew that we know.

    -Which Destiny is fake and which one is real?
    The one the SGU crew used, of course. The real one wasn't even launched (not yet, at least).

    Anyway, the SGU movie trilogy would have a happy ending, with the crew and their children & grandchildren returning back to Earth safely (even if the members of the crew we know would become elderly people by then), the fake Destiny destroyed and the Blue Aliens and the Ursini defeated.

    -Wait, how did a single Ancient build an entire ship all by himself?
    The cursed Ancient was originally the main planner and leader of the Destiny project (but not the one who came up with the idea and the concept for the ship). He didn't believe in the project and started working on his own version of Destiny. He had his former friends work on a prototype ship first and then on the real one... well, at least he thought he was in control. Once he turned his back on them, they hid the real Destiny somewhere to keep it safe from him by using a fake attack on the ship with fatal consequences for it and pretended that they didn't know that he was a traitor all along. He stole the prototype ship and because he had memorized the ship's blueprints, he managed to re-model the protoype into the fake Destiny, which was launched in the end. But he didn't know that his former friends pulled a fast one on him and that they hacked his computer, which allowed the real Destiny to gather information from the fake one and from the information sources it was connected to on occasion (example: Novus). While the virus didn't affect the fake Destiny in a meaningful way (like stopping it for good), it did allow the Ancients to accomplish their goal and complete their poject in a different way without their traitor noticing a thing. After this, the traitor established his own generation after being betrayed by the Blue Aliens, which ended up dying thanks to their planet's volcano powering up on them and their children and grandchildren being separated for good and tossed all accross the Universe.

    -Ginn & Perry? What in the World is their final fate?
    Since in my version of the ending the real Destiny has everything that the fake Destiny had in its database (and more), I think it's safe to say that Ginn's and Amanda's programs have been successfully preserved and brought back online whenever their assistance was needed on the real Destiny. Oh, and the guy that sat in the chair and ended up having his brain damaged.

    Man, that ship must have had ONE HUGE hard-drive.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Well, this is everything. I know this ending might/may be complicated to some of you (or everyone) and I know that some of you don't like my ending and that it does have a lot of flaws and (still) plot bugs in it, but it does what's supposed to do for me: end Stargate Universe and my ending also works as the Stargate TV series ending overall. I can finally stop thinking about it and put this behind me... And not only that, I can go back and re-watch all 3 series without bothering myself how does the overall Brad Wright's Stargate TV saga end.

    It might not be perfect either or in the SGU style, but it's an ending.

    Also, if anyone is interested, I could post a different version of my ending where the crewmembers find themselves itself on the ship, but a million years in the future, just like I mentioned in the original thread/post.
    I could do it as a Fan Fic in a TV series form or in a movie form, just like this one.

      Note that I was only responsible for the original story found in the thread "SGU Movie Idea".
      Mnikolic simply based his fan-fic on mine(no complaints).

      Oh, and he did an awesome job too.

        That's correct. I've edited beginning of the first post in this thread to include the proper credit.

        Oh and thanks, I also came up with my (part(s)) of the story as I went along.
