So, what would it take to kill Stanton Parrish... and keep him dead? (spoilers)

We've seen this guy get shot in the head, and he has slit his own throat. What would it take to actually kill him? Can he be killed?

If he was beheaded, would the two halves continue to "live" as separate entities? Or would his head start to regenerate a body, or would the body start to regenerate a head?

Could Parrish control his body while his head was detached?

A strong dose of poison might kill him several times, but it would eventually lose its potency and he would wind up staying alive.

Fire? Acid? Could he regenerate from these?

    regards,
    G.

That could work, maybe... so if Rosen is Gandalf, who is Frodo?

Nothing a good old nuke won't solve. Vaporize the cells and he can't regenerate

True, but what about the collateral damage? He'd have to be lured somewhere "safe".

This is not WWII anymore. We have a lot more control over nuclear reactions these days. It would not cause that much death but death would occur. Their is no escaping that. But at the same time you usually see Parish even these rural areas so it would probably not be in the millions.

Why kill him? Just bury him alive somewhere.
Or something similar. Lock him in an metal box and throw it in the ocean...
And he might die from dehydration...

Er...The thread title itself is sort of spoiler. Just saying.

Anyway, encasing him in concrete would work. You wouldn't need to kill him, just make it impossible for him to escape.

I went through a similar discussion in a role playing game on what to do about a vampire and trying to rid the world permanently of it, once it was temporarily taken down.

Warning : Somewhat graphic, so in
                  Spoiler:
. Set up a large vat of quick setting clear polymer. Dismember vampire into small chunks. Set pieces in polymer, keeping pieces apart. Now the pieces have little ability to move and effectively in set cement. Put in rocket and launch at sun.

TL;DR : Drop Parish in a vat of molten iron like Terminator II.

hehehehehe I like this thread... I like the set in polymer or concrete idea and launch him into space or bury him really really deep in the earth or the sea.

Once you think of extremes, its hard to see where regenerative abilities would be useful.

Toss him into a volcano and see him try to regenerate from that. A vat of sulfuric acid. The list goes on.

Study the physics of some of this. Tie a weight to him and drop him in the Mariana Trench, so he'd be at 15000 PSI pressure and be compressed to the size of a Barbie doll. Regenerate that.
