    The 7 best TNG episodes?

    The list is here.

    #2
i don't really agree with this list. it looks like a lot of best of tng lists out there, making sure it broad strokes the big name episodes and forgetting some of the better, less recognised ones. not saying their list was terrible, like i said it features a lot of the standards.
    matter of opinion i guess!

well, here is my list; i'll include one from every season as i have a ton of favourites from this whole series which i think is the best star trek series to date:
    season 1: conspiracy
    season 2: contagion
season 3: sins of the father
    season 4: the wounded
    season 5: darmok
    season 6: the chase
    season 7: parallels

hard to pick seven out of a ton of great stuff.

Wired did a whole workup last week about the best and worst of TNG

It's a great look at some great episodes, and a fun read.

All I know is that any list that doesn't include Cause & Effect, isn't a "best of" list.

"Measure of a Man" was not mentioned on Underwire's list. The issue of slavery in that episode brings to memory a Voyager episode about what happened to the first Emergency Medical Holograms...

I often wonder about cross-over stories - the rights of the Holographic doctor on Voyager & using the case of TNG's Data to argue his own. There is that notion of "we are more than the sum of our parts" and both series raises the questions: "What is sentience? What is personhood?"
Or what about the awkward meeting of TNG's Captain Picard & Voyager's Seven of Nine - would she call him "Locutus", do you think?

i can't think of seven but i remember the first TNG episode i saw was the best of both worlds, part 1.

basically lots of what we talk about here.

I agree, that would be at the top of my list. I also love Clues but I might be alone there.

                  yep.

problem with next gen, most of it was good-great, nailing a list down is hard because a case could be made for SO many episodes.
