Did the Human of Pegasus got screw by the Ancient?(Ats spoiler)

The Ancient left the Pegasus human to fend for themself ,for 10 thousand yr the Wraith inflicted unspeakable suffering on the human population of Pegasus.

Does the Ancient bear some moral responsibilies to the human of Pegasus, The human didn't ask to be born in Pegasus but the Ancient bought the human life to Pegasus , they left the human of Pegasus high and dry.
The Ancient were like dead beat parent who just let other to take care of their mess.

    Spoiler for hot zone

McKay discover a nano visus in Atlantis 's lab, that kill human ,but it doesn't kill people with an Ancient gene.

May be the Ancient wanted to kill the human ,like an abortion or Mercy killing to end the human suffering once they leave Pegasus.

But after the Ancient got ascended they got all the power they needed to finish the Wraith and they could protect all the human of Pegasus ,but yet they did almost nothing.

Their law of non-intervention with mortal is silly ,full of loopholes like something they make it up as they go along.

    In "Sanctuary "
The Ascended Ancient's was cast out for protecting her old homeworld from Wraith.
Her punishment was to protect that world forever.

So in the beganing , some Ascended Ancient try to do something for the Pegasus human ,but was punish but allow to protect one world as punishment.
In the beganning the non-intervention law was not as strict as today, and it was flexible and some ascended one was probaby still bias against the Wraith , that was how such arrangment was possible thousands yrs ago.

Oma was still alllow to kills Jaffa who use violence in Kheb ,she was an outcast too for helping people ascended.

I think there is some loop holes in the lwa of the Ascended being.

For example Oma wasn't allow to heal Daniel in S6,but was allow to ascend him,but then descend him back as a healthy human in S8.

So It is still possible for the Ancient to help Pegasus human, they could kill Wraith if /when they use violence like Oma in Kheb, but with a galaxy wide .
    scale.

The ascended ones are a law unto themselves - thye tend to step in only when they are scared of what a person might do to them if they become too powerful - as in the case of anubis

Perhaps the virus in hot zone was greated by an enemy far worse than the Wraith. We don't yet know who or why it was made.

a lot of people have speculated that, but if the virus was not made by the Ancients, then why would some other race make it? it doesnt kill Ancients, so whoever made it wanted to kill humans, but the humans were no threat to anyone, so what is the point? unless someone wanted to starve the wraith to death, what does wiping out humans in pegasus accomplish? the ancients could just make more.

and yes the Ancients did screw over the humans in pegasus. they seeded humans through out and then left them to their own devices with no way to protect themselves or fight the wraith. i know they didnt have a way to fight them either, but once they Ascended, they did, but now they are too good for us. its tottaly irresponsible.

I must be one of the few people who think this non-interfence pact isn't about arrogance, irresponsibility, or lack of caring.

Imagine that the ancients in all their millions of years have visited and toyed with at the max five galaxies out of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands or millions in the universe. Suddenly they ascend to a new plane of existence where they may not be top dog as they once were in this small corner of the universe and they realize that as grand as they were they're nothing but ants when compared to the scale of the universe and multiple planes of existence and parallel universes. Suddenly the Milkyway and Pegasus seem unimportant. After all, greater cruelty might be ocurring in other galaxies and if they interfere with the Wraith maybe they should have done so with the replicators, the Goauld and every other evil in the Universe.

They're ascended and have the power but I think they may have learned their lesson about playing God. Furthermore we have no idea what they do on their plane of existence. They might be responsible for making sure things stay balanced on a cosmic scale. Any interference on their part is kind of like taking sides in a situation that has no right or wrong.

in a general galactic sense, yes not getting involved makes sense, but the pegasus situation is unique. the Ancients MADE the humans in pegasus, and it appears that they indirectly created the wraith as well. then they abandoned the humans to the wraith. they had a responsibility to the humans they abandoned. the humans were dependent on the ancients and have even come to view the ancients as gods and have an on going belief that the ancestors will save them from the wraith, but the ancients have no intention of doing anything. the ancients are no better than people that raise attack dogs, have a baby and then leave the baby home alone with the dogs. it was just wrong of the ancients not to do anything to help once they ascended.

the virus doesnt kill people with the ancient gene, thats why mckay didnt die. it is designed specifically to kill humans and not ancients. it still affects people with the ancient gene because they see the images same as humans, but it doesnt kill them at the end of the 12 hours like it does humans. thats why they were all really confused why the ancients would have such a thing, but then they, like most people, practically worship the ancients as benevolent gods, and are probably in for a rude awakening at some point

I immediately thought the Ancients created the virus to kill the Wraith by means of attrition. Just before a culling, release the virus on all human planets. That would lead to the death of most the Wraith, especially since they would resort to cannibalism. At that point the Wraith would be easy prey, no more numbers advantage. The Ancients could finish off the Wraith, then reseed planets.

I agree that the Tau'ri think way to highly of the Ancients. They revere them as an infallable god-like race of beings. The Ancients creating that virus was the last thing on all their minds, when it should've been the first.
