Your bodies are all screwed up and are more comfortable at higher temperatures than we are. In addition, dress codes generally are far more flexible for females, allowing for clothing that allows more airflow for cooling.
And, most importantly, you can always put more clothing on to keep warm, while we can only take so much off before we are arrested for indecent exposure.

Is office temperature a sexism issue?
In general, research has shown that women feel colder than men do at the same air temperature. One study from the Eindhoven University of Technology found that men prefer rooms at 72 F, while women prefer 77 F. Body size and fat-to-muscle ratios are largely to blame.
Quartz's Gwynn Guilford explained, "The discrepancy dates back to the 1960s and '70s, when scientists and regulators set workplace indoor climate standards based on the metabolic rate of a 40-year-old man weighing 70 kilograms (154 pounds)."
Many professionals do not view office temperature as a sexism issue but recognize the different realities for men and women concerning body temperature and clothing options.
"Gender norms do play in," said Sarah Anderson, digital content and SEO specialist at boldSOCKS. "Normal women's work attire lends itself to being a little cooler in the summer, making air conditioning necessary for men and a problem for women."
It is important to regularly check in with your workers and follow the wishes of the majority, with allowances for individual modifications as needed.
"Our office is set to 73 degrees," said Jared Weitz, CEO and founder of United Capital Source. "We encourage people to bring in sweaters or jackets if needed, and desktop fans are allowed."

My home thermostat is set to 68F-70F during the winter and I wear t-shirts indoors. Any higher and it starts to get uncomfortably hot for me. During the summer if the AC isn't set to 65F, this is an issue for me. I hate summer because it's hot lol.
Winter, thermostat is set for 60 overnights and 64 daytime. Summers, AC is set for 63.

I have upstairs tenants so I legally have to keep it at least 68F during the day during for most of fall-spring (it can be lower at night, but I don't feel it's necessary to try to program my thermostat to do that, I just sleep with a sheet and don't use blankets).
There's really no such thing as too cold for me during the summer lol, I really hate summer heat. 65F is a happy medium for everyones comfort (my electric bill is also already super high during the summer and I'd probably go broke if I set it any lower, but I think I just need to get a more efficient AC).sigpic

I've got little cardboard boxes set up next to the heater grilles, and they sleep in them whenever it's heating season.

Cats though, do like to be nice and toasty. I used to have a cat who would run into the boiler room any time he'd see the door open (sometimes he'd actually pry it open) and hide by the heater right next the were the flames were and refuse to come out. I'd be afraid that he'd either catch fire or cause the the boiler to explode.sigpic
