This has to be one of my Favourite Episodes. I just love how they all worked together on this case.

I have a feeling this whole situation is about to get very confusing again. Why does Jones want to get control of the machine? He can already cross the Barrier and link People. If all that he is missing is the right frequency, then all he needs is to find out the frequency of the Machine. After all its the only thing that really merged in the process of creating the Bridge.

As for the trailer for next week
    Spoiler:
I knew there was something wrong with the observers. Though I wouldnt have thought that Fringe would do a Invasion Storyline. That kind of Sets the whole Peters Son thing into a whole new perspective. They where okay with Peter being gone, because he is a Threat to them. Maybe distracting Walternate was on purpose and thats why they did not fix that event instead of Peter drowning.

I had a naggling thought that Altenate Broyles wasn't actually a shapeshifter, just wanted to save his son

as for the machine, not sure, like Walter said the other two events were a test, I'm guessing he wanted to use the machine to cause the same kind of events but on a universal scale, which is why he needed it

the trailer for next week looks crazy ha

Well as Walter said, Jones could potentially collapse both universes. This would mean the destruction of both, but also of himself. So his purpose for wanting to do this is still unclear.

Judging from what we've seen it seems like he wants to start over and create his own universe, that's why he has that ship full of mutations or whatever they are.

Jones told Broyles that he is healing one thing. Which is probably himself. I guess Jones learned something Walter & Bell never did

I think he was talking about Broyles son, since he was the one keeping him alive with the medication

I assume everyone else cracked up as much as I did at the bit about 'domesticated badgers'

But yes, a very solid episode all-around. I love the Over There crew almost as much as Blue team. It's really nice to see them all working together--this (and last week's episode) are what I've been waiting to see ever since the Season 3 finale! It took 3/4 of a season to get here, but ahh it's good stuff now that we're here.

DRJ makes an interesting Big Bad, but I'm most especially interested in how they're doing his story what with the (whatever the mystery element is called) and just generally using the science of universe damaging. It fits perfectly into the character as he was established in Season 1.

Not really, but I did crack up when Walter called Altlivia his Escort and went on to say silently "by Escort I mean Prostitute".

I didnt belief my Ears when I heard it the first time, but thats exactly his words.

This episode was great. I really can't wait to see it again when my wife gets around to watching it. I kind of really felt bad for Alternate Broyles. Jones put him in a very tough spot. Personally, I do not know what I would have done in his shoes.

There's actually a "don't" in there, "by escort I don't mean prostitute". Which makes a whole lot more sense in context.

It does, but I had to put on earphones and crank up the Volume in order to hear the "dont".

that had me in stitches too, along with the badgers.

I wonder if Jones plan is to merge the two universes, rather than collapse them (why else would he experiment if it wasn't to perfect the process i.e. not kill both versions).

Changing the Time Lines might be the only good thing The Observers will ever do on this show. It at least ended up making The Alternate Universe respectable. Especially Walternate

I guess I missed that "don't" when Walter said that he meant Altivia wasn't a prostitute.

Good episode...I did like the domesticated badgers line. It seems that Alt-Broyles has a conscious after all.

So let me get this right. ZFT is the organization that David R Jones is a leader of. Their goal is for the survival of our universe (aka. the Blue universe). So why would David Jones want to collapse both or even replace humanity with monster creatures?
