Still adjusting, it's only been six episodes so far. I'm still not sure how I feel about Rollins and still see the new guy as the guy he played in Cold Case only with a different name (one I can never seem to remember). Missing Stabler and feel like Olivia is now carrying most of the show, with Munch and Fin getting less important roles.
      Unmade Plans (WIP: 11/20):
Sam's life takes a turn in an unexpected direction when she's faced with an unplanned pregnancy. The decision to keep the baby and raise it on her own will alter her life forever. Relationships are put to the test, especially the one between her and Jack. She doesn't know what to expect from him and he surprises her at every turn.
      On FFnet or AO3

How I'm feeling too...But I'm liking that it is returning back to its roots of sex crimes...Season 12 was kind of odd cause it didn't really have as many actual sex crimes as other seasons.

Just finished watching the first and only season of Trial By Jury and while it was somewhat enjoyable, I admit it wasn't up to par with SVU in my opinion. And, ironically, I liked the two crossover episodes (one with L&O and one with SVU) the most interesting

I liked Kelly better than Tracy and the cases were somewhat interesting, but the show itself was very similar to L&O itself as well as Shark, Justice and Conviction (I'm sure there are more, but these came to mind). I wasn't too sympathetic with the characters either, although I did appreciate them. Thought it was interesting that for once two women were basically the lead, although it does seem most (A)DAs are women when it comes to L&O (SVU)...

In Cold Case it's Scotty Valens, but in SVU... Nick Amaro (I looked it up ).

I'm still watching. I think the episodes will give more time to the other characters other than Olivia as the season progresses. I think Munch has been there more this year than the last couple of years. I hardly remember seeing him at all last year. Stabler will be hard to replace and to shift the focus completely to the new guys right in the beginning would probably have fans switching the channel. Alex Cabot is in tonight's episode and the Captain has a more prominent role from the previews at least.

It was Scotty Valens on Cold Case, another great show (but we'll probably NEVER have DVDs) .

I have missed the past couple episodes but I hope to watch the episode tonight.

I got to watch the first disc from S-1 of Law and Order UK this morning. I'm really liking Jamie Bamber on this; as well as Ben Daniels (Who I'd never seen before) on the "Order" side. I haven't watched a lot of Doctor Who but I think the female on the "Order" side was on there too.

I've finished watching L&O: LA and can't really say it's a shame it's been cancelled. It was very similar to the regular L&O (only set in LA ) and I felt there were too many characters.

There was a detective duo, a lieutenant and a handful of different DDAs and the DA himself. It wasn't until one of the last episodes that I actually learned the name of one of the DDAs although I didn't get any further than "Megan"... Oh no, wait, that's the name of the actress. See, I already forgot; her name is supposed to be Lauren Stanton.

I immediately recognized the DA from the other L&Os, but unfortunately he plays different (guest) roles in LA, Trial By Jury and CI

The police lieutenant is played by two different women, one in the pilot and the other plays the rest of the season/show (I was already starting to wonder why I didn't recognize her at first after the pilot) and only in the twentieth episode (there are 22 in total) do we learn a bit more about her personal life, namely that she's gay (we already knew she had a young son). I'm going to assume they didn't know the show was going to be cancelled at this point, otherwise it doesn't really make any sense.

But what really bothered me is that in episode nine one of the cops gets killed, there's a funeral, revenge thing and everything and one of the DDAs doesn't like how they handle the case and resigns to go back to his old job (as a police detective) and becomes the new partner. The change actually worked for me, I liked the new partner and didn't care much for the dead one, but then suddenly in episode eighteen the dead guy is back with his partner and the new partner is back to being a DDA! No explanation at all! Like it never happened! And I have to say that if felt like it was a step back for the show, the new partnership worked much better and it allowed us to see more of the other DDAs who all did a great job and still see some of the DDA-ness in the new partner.

I liked Law and Order LA. It is a shame NBC couldn't give it another 13 episodes to get settled. I also felt there were too many characters. My problem was with the actor Alfred Molina, the hispanic Executive ADA turned cop. I like Alfred as an actor very much, but I didn't think he fit this show. His partnership with the other cop was okay, but the original police partnership grew on me and I liked it better than the second one. Unfortunately, I missed the first few episodes and had to catch them on rerun, so I had sort of a scattered picture for a bit. I think they tried to make Law and Order LA a little different from the New York version with the two executive ADAs and their assistants, but it just didn't work, at least for me.

I didn't really like Winters, he was such a stereotype cop! And I felt like TJ's character suffered when he got back, with him falling for the HIV positive porn actress and Winters having to keep him in line.

At first I didn't really have problems with Winters but when he was gone and TJ partnered up with Molina, I felt TJ's character benefited from it and matured somewhat. Like Molina's intelligence rubbed off on him and he wasn't just a cop anymore, but actually an interesting person.

What I did find... I don't know if annoying is the right word here, but it was a bit annoying how almost everyone suddenly spoke Spanish and had a Hispanic background when it fitted the plot; like with the Mexican boy guarding the field. Everyone but TJ (I think?) spoke Spanish yet there still was a translator/interpreter present, and at some point the Spanish speaking people started speaking in English to the boy. Didn't make any sense at all!
