    WHO was the Doctor when you were born?

    Doctor Who is a show that has been around for generations, so who was the Doctor when you were born? I was born in 1967 so Patrick Troughton was playing the role when I was born, however the first Doctor I watched was the 4th, Tom Baker.

    The Doctors

    1. William Hartnell 1963-1966
    1.5. Peter Cushing 1965-1966 (Dalek feature films)
    2. Patrick Troughton 1966-1969
    3. Jon Pertwee 1970-1974
    4. Tom Baker 1974-1981
    5. Peter Davison 1981-1984
    6. Colin Baker 1984-1986
    7. Sylvester McCoy 1987-1989 & 1996
    8. Paul McGann 1996
    9. Christopher Eccleston 2005
    10. David Tennant 2005-2010
    11. Matt Smith 2010-Present.

                  I am soooo old! Didn't even have electricity back then... But the first Doctor I saw was Tom Baker.

                      I was born in 1967 so have no idea which Doctor it was but growiing up Tom Baker was "My Doctor"

                        Tom Baker, but the first one I ever saw was "The Dalek Invasion Of Earth" with William Hartnell.

                            Technically, Colin Baker was still the Doctor when I was born, but I started watching in 1987, when Sylvester McCoy took over. Best 2 years of my life!

                            Teselecta: "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"

                              Patrick Troughton, though I have absolutely no memories of him as the Doctor.

                              My first memory of Doctor Who is Spearhead From Space. I was convinced that the autons coming out through shop windows happened near where we live & they would get me when I went shopping there with my Mum (probably coming out of Greenwoods Gentleman's Outfitters ).
