Or maybe the LA attack on earth took out the higher ups. That's normally how promotions work in the upper ranks of the military. Until someone actually retires (or gets retired), nobody is going anywhere. Career wise anyway.

Although given the year-ish mentioned in the last episode, that's a pretty big jump from mission specialist to his own office.

He was a full Colonel. It's not that crazy that he'd have an office.

Stop over-thinking it. He has an office. Not even a big one. I imagine that O'Neil probably relegated Destiny management to Telford, since he's probably busy with MW stuff.

I'd like to mention that prior to Twin Destinies, Telford hasn't been on earth for quite some time. I Don't think that it is that far fetched that he was given an office after he got back to earth. However, I am unsure if he had an office prior to s1 finale.

I might be mistaken about when Telford 'left' earth...

Perhaps he was 'acting in O'neill's role which is common in the military, while O'neill was away.

It seems to me like it was written with o'neill in mind, perhaps RDA wasnt available to film at the time so they just changed it to telford?

it felt that way to me too. i kept expecting to see o'neill especailly at the end. i wish they could have got him to be there.
