One comment I read was speculating that the 'legendary' game could be a game w/ the word 'legend' in the title...
    *looks at gog.com*
'Legend of Grimrock' on pre-order. Hmm. Oh well, it's just a few days away 'til one's certain...

Spoilers for the first Witcher game (primarily for the XBox 360 folks who haven't played the first game as it was a PC only release):

It's pretty 'general', tho', and doesn't account for the choices available.

Is it important to know the story for the first game? I'm thinking of buying Witcher 2 for the 360.

Hmm. It's not so much the stories, but the characters. You'll encounter several characters from the 1st game (e.g., Triss, Dandelion, King Foltest, etc.).
There are some details that can carry over, via a TW1 save (not sure how they'll deal w/ this on the 360 end of things), but nothing really major, if memory serves.

IMHO, TW2's story stands well enough on it's own, and the journal feature gives a good enough amount of info on the characters, locations, and events.

The last video I linked pretty much covers most of the major events in the first game (minus details like some key choices in the game and characters).

I'd personally recommend a playthrough of the first game (or even just watching a playthrough/walkthrough of it via Youtube)

Pre-download of the Enhanced Edition (10+ GB) has started.

    edit:
Hehe. Almost 13 GB, since I chose to download Polish voice overs (for about another GB, Russian voice overs are also available), along w/ the 3 standard (came w/ the original game...I guess all the voice overs are being updated, too) voice overs (English, French and German).

I have played a fair way into the first game, and have the first and the second games. I have also watched the TV series and I love that, it is a good fantasy series, I hope they will publish it on DVD eventually.

So I got the EE up and running on my end (should've been sooner, but I 'procrastinated' w/ the pre-download thingy). The Witcher 2 folder now eats up 21+ GB of HDD space.
I guess I'll have to start a new playthrough to see if there's anything new all the way from the start.

Also, while browsing through gog.com's forums, I saw people complaining about framerate drops. I think I encountered that, too. Apparently FPS drops during cinematics/cutscenes. It seems to be relatively smooth, otherwise (still hard to tell on my end...I'm still using a GT 430. Still waiting (lol, the never-ending waiting) for a non-reference GTX 680 to become available at the store I got this PC from).
I've just read that 'cinematic depth of field' is the apparent culprit. Gotta try that later.

Other than that, it's fine so far. Well...there was one CTD: while checking out the videos on the 'extras' part, I clicked on the 'credits' video (the other videos worked fine)...CTD.

Both games are on sale ($42.49 for TW2EE, and $4.99 for TW1EE).
If you already own a copy, then the EE update is free. If you bought a copy outside of gog.com, you can redeem a 'digital backup' for TW2 at gog.com.

It's got very good reviews for the 360 version, I will buy it when I get through my backlog.

I have Witcher 2 on my PC. Very underrated game more people should know about it.
