Alternative uses for the stasis pods!

what does it look like to you then? both the Atlantean AND Destiny stasis pod put the guy in a block of ice. how they do it, no clue. but it's clearly ice.

You assume there is ice. The visual effects artists give you the representation of "ice" to simulate a "frozen" state, however when someone comes out of the pods, are they covered in water? No. They are dry as can be. That's why I say that one shouldn't take the term "frozen" too literally.

Extreme musical chairs.

If we could use them for freezing food i say go for it!

They could also use them to store away bad crew member / life forms that become problematic. Chloe would be a prime candidate to be locked away in stasis when she was transofrming into an alien.

Well then stick them in there live. The meat will be fresher still. I'd like to see them wrestle a live rainbow deer into one of those pods .

If it was too big to fit, you could cut their legs off while they are still alive - freeze them before they bleed out.
