    I had this huge grin on my face all day long after watching that. Brilliant. People can hate that episode all they want - I just love it. Even though Rodney was making fun of spirituality and spiritual people in a way.
    But I can't stay angry at him for long.

    The thing with Slash is, it doesn't have that much potential for getting "militant" because most Slashers know it's never gonna happen on screen (which could be a topic of discussion as to why that is and how long it's going to stay that way, hee). So we just have good fun with it, write some nice fanfic and look for the little squeeworthy moments in the episodes.

    Ship is fun too. I'm a Sam/Jack shipper (yes, still - although pretty desperate by now) and I ship for Weir/Sheppard/McKay and all the wackiness that comes as a result of that.

        No, the Brits just don't have that long winter break you guys have. So they just keep showing episodes while the US has a break.

        Which reminds me... isn't The Siege I on tonight or tomorrow? In SOME country?

                Oh yes, there are *plenty* of Sheppard/McKay shippers out there. There is incredible chemistry between the two of them. And they make such a lovely couple. *g*

                Fic abounds, too. Needless to say. We've been busy since, oh, the second episode or so.

                          Thats link to the profile for Ellex, who's written several fics I find good even I don't generally going for the pairing. But written well it is a fun pairing to read - the sniping (or sudden lack of sniping in some cases) is fun.

                          Lots of Sheppard/McKay fics on wraithbait too.

                                'Cause he likes him? If you're talking about in the fics, well... they'd be very short and boring stories if he didn't.

                                ETA: Just re-read your post and caught exactly what you're asking. I think you tend to see Shep doing the hitting on more often in fics because of the two of them, he seems to be the one that would be more willing to take the risk. I know there are other fics out there with a shy Shep and more secure McKay doing the hitting on... but at the moment no titles come to mind. If you poke around Wraitbait you'll probably find them.
