    How Big is a Stargate?

I'm trying to figure out just how big a Stargate is, especially the inside diameter.
Can anyone tell me where to find more information?

    Thanks.

Mine is approx 22ft (6.7m) in diameter and weighs about 64,000lb (29,000kg). Seriously, broke my scales.

      Yep.
      It's 22ft across, or 6.71 metres.
The distance from the outer diameter to inside diameter is 88cm, for an internal diameter of 4.95 metres.
I hope this helps. I measured the SGC gate and the Atlantis gates when i was on set.

Actually, writing up a design for a gate-compatible UCAV (see the Original Ship Design Thread)

Maybe just post a link to save us searching?

A downsized version of the Talon?
                    Or the EDI?

Think of it as a cross between the SGC UAV crossed with the FA-37 Talon from Stealth.

not yet, I will need some time to get it drawn out (I'm a bit of a perfectionist...)
                          BTW, the link is FQ-352

The only thing that i would be worried about would be a shield fail and then taking a hit mid ship, which might result in a back braking snap..... and then the ship is in 2 parts.... the latest one looks cool tho(FQ-352). Good work!

I actually thought about building a full size Stargate once.
