    Yay! A real Mckay/Weir thread. Thinking there should be one.
    As you can see from my sig I am of the group already- we have lots of fanfic too, or at least fair amount - I can happily live on that rather than canon but I see so much ship in the show. It's all subtle, developing friendship and maybe a little more that shows potential.

      Even though I'm a diehard Weir/Shep shipper, I like the idea of this ship too. I like the fic I've read with it.


      I definitely think that McKay has always had a bit of a thing for Weir...and if Weir does return the affection then there may be some real potential here.

      Emotionally they are perhaps better suited to each other than Shep and Weir, but if I had my way there would just be one giant ship-orgy and no one would be left out.

        Well I've read some fics with that... Or atleast with weir/mckay/shep or mckay/weir and weir/shep - one of them was really sad for Mckay though.

          He's not in that kind of a "relationship" with Heitmeyer. He was just saying that to Teyla to explain why he was in her office. He was there for Heitmeyer's professional help. You can tell because the shot over McKay's shoulder of Heitmeyer at her desk had her inputing notes into her PDA, a rather stern look on her face. Not something someone would be doing if you were saving good bye to someone who you had a relationship with and they were leaving your office. Oh, sure, maybe you can pretend that Heitmeyer was just checking her calendar, but that's not how I read the scene. And after McKay left Teyla at the door, he was so flustered, he walked down the corridor behind her and then couldn't decide which way to go. That was a funny bit behind Teyla!

              The tissue he's wiping his eyes with whenhe's at the door, not wiping lipstick off himself or anything but sort of teary eyed just been for a tense session with shrink thing. And his whole body language and hesitation with Teyla makes it look just like he's thinknig of an excuse and waiting to see how she take sit - after all he does look confused when he walks off in the background, not knoing what direction to head in! It's so sweet, especially the whole don't tell anyone bit - like maybe, I don't know, Elizabeth?

                      First of all, it took some hunting to find this thread. I'm glad I did, though. I'm not as alone as I thought. I have to admit, I'm surprised by some of the names I see here! I'm quite a die hard, if frustrated, S/J shipper (my fingers tried four times to put a ? instead of a /... subcounscious message?), so I'm rather reluctant to get too into another Stargate Franchise ship of any kind. I've only been loosely following Atlantis, but the eps I've seen have been quite entertaining, I'll say!


                      I think, much like my prior shipping experiences, I'll hide out in the lurker shadows and watch how this relationship progresses in the coming years. I really hope it plays well, as I think the characters, and the actors, have a lot of promising potential. In the meantime, I just thought I'd say Hi, and add my voice to the small--but growing--chorus of Wier-McKay ship chorus!!

                          Actually an amazingly shippy episodes - so many little looks etc.
                          It's the little things that matter.

                          I adore this shot though - just so eager to get there first!



                          And the whole scene is cute, Zelenka just ends up ignored nearly by the end, very competitive - Rodney just wants to tell her himself - soooo wants her approval/praise - in fact there's quite sweet caps of that too.




                          And a shippy review will be done soon if anyone is interested

                            She just looks so happy to him McKay! I would too!! Man! I really wanna see THE GIFT! I'm in America, so I just saw The Defiant One, which by the way was a great McKay episode!

                            I think McKay and Weir should be the first of the cast to have an onscreen kiss!! Jack and Carter were!
