    My last ultra cool buy was the Jo Grant expansion piece for the Doctor Who chess set... I have the original set plus 1996 expansion... Working on the other 27-or-so other exp-pieces now...

      I saw the USB in a local store while back. And even tho it is REALLY COOL looking I had to wonder..Why?

      But my fav Dr.Who Item is my homemade K9 I carved in school out of a small block of wood.

          Mainly because I will not let anyone of the Freak-mas gift giving persuasion buy me ANYTHING of the Doctor Who variety...sans the calender I got last year.

              D'oh, lost my post.

              When Borders went bust I bought 2 x the 11 Doctors action figure set... Cos I'd always said I'd only buy 2 off them... 1 for me to keep mint... And 1 for my then 3yo son... But at $160... Had to wait til they went bust! {-:

                        Prob was it wasn't just "Borders"... it was other bookstores owned by that company too... Now competition in physical bookstores is all but gone... So higher prices again..

                            I know they all did..... This was dicussed here in another forum thread..

                            I think part of the problem is that with bookstores they have to deal with middle men and not directly with the publishers, if you cut the middle men out you would save money and prices could be lowered.
