River is one of my favorite Doctor Who characters. She's (outwardly) completely un-mystified by him.

Alex Kingston spent a few years on ER, one of my favorite shows and I loved her character and her ability to pronounce 12-foot long words like (sounded like) co-cuolodigiginoscopy with ease (even though it probably took a few hours of practice). Too bad they didn't keep her around for more.

Hi all.
I'm hoping that we learn, at some point, how and when River and the Doctor meet.

I hope I'll be able to catch the episodes she is in when Doctor Who airs later this year.

There's a River Song Appreciation thread already,but this seems like a nice thread to admire Alex in other roles too.

Reminder of the pic-posting rules required though :

a) Keep it PG.
b) keep your photos/animated gifs to less than 700 pixels wide AND check that your photos are less than 100Kb in file size.
c) do NOT hotlink to other sites without their permission : host all images on your own hosting site account instead .
( Eg,use Photobucket/Imageshack etc .They don't charge for sub-hosting unless you want access to more advanced membership facilities.)

d)Requote images in your replies only by changing the img tags to url code.
