But powering 2 normal size Stargates with black holes and sending stuff through them would be possible. It would be a pain in the arse to calculate addresses tho, not to mention whether or not it would work because Destiny would have to be in rather close proximity and 1 gate will superceed the other, odds on, it would be the Destiny gate taking presidence due to it being the only gate with a known address, this causes problems with power, stability and the fact i dont think a jumper can fit in the Destiny gateroom

I see it as a funnel, anything which is small enough to go through a normal stargate would go through a normal stargate.

sure just go thru w/a spacesuit on ... but the black holes nearby makes that even riskier, less you can be beamed onto a 304 waiting not too far away and the black holes dont interfere. not to mention how to get in the stargate from destinys end, not having any asgard beaming at all. so thats out.

im actually wondering how many supergates the ori had made before ark of truth, and how far out in the universe, relative to destiny, may even still be now, just floating in space waiting to be used? are we to assume ori dismantled them all, or worse, LA are trying to use them? anyway its not like ori were close to that powerful but, you know - supergate superhighway even bring destiny home. yeah right? thatd be epic...

i still think learning how the stones work is a good idea, if how they detect consciousness can somehow be reprogrammed to do telekinetic wormhole opening, hey you have a wormhole at the snap of your fingers.

I doubt that they would dismantle the gates, even if the Ori are dead their followers would probably still utilize their technology.

I am not so sure if they even know how to make or use certain stuff. The Ori apparently had a big hand in it and only if the workers put their Knowledge together, they might figure it out, but it will still take them hundrets of years to understand it.

The Doci and the priors had a big knowledge of Ori technology.

BUT was that knowledge theirs, or stuff the Ori was keeping in their minds>?

well, if adria became 'holder' of all the ori knowledge, and oma or other ascendeds will not interfere, its a safe bet semi-releasing or interrogating adria, if she survived her whoop ass from oma, or oma herself, would not reveal any information on how to operate or discover locations of supergates to use them in such a way, or, any way at all...unless the prospect of the CMBR enticed her/them.

and thats if those gates are close enough. i dont even think a supergate would be powerful enough to dial destiny. perhaps enough to gate hop closer to the ship then maybe dial down the line but that could take years since the ship is pretty far out im guessing.

since destiny and seed ships are research vessels, youd think they could eventually dial earth, repeatedly even. Getting back to destiny it seems, would be the problem [perhaps ancients only dialed in to destiny to remotely measure readings the ship gave, and never boarded, depends if the ship database has newer logs than the embarking time]. Of course, this is SGU so its going to be tougher to get what the crew wants ... and i think it will be interesting to see what happens, how they figure it out, and what else happens to them.

Those informations would have to be in the actual priors not the Ori as the Ori would not be able to be in the milky-way and the Priors in the milky-way had knowledge of their technology.

The Priors may know something about the Ori Tech, but when thinking of the Ori... they are not the kind of People who help others evolve. Teaching the Workers the Information behind the Scenes would not work properly, People start using their gained Knowledge to build stuff on their own and thats something the Ori surely disagree with.

The Priors would still have the basic information for building and running the technology even if they do not understand the science behind it.

For instance they made the people on that coldwar planet build an ori satellite.

That is true.. but do we know if the priors had anything to do with it?

They did, as the Ori themselves could not have manifested in the milky way.

My guess is that any objects sent through the supergate to a regular gate that are too large will just get stuck in the buffer of the receiving gate and then lost. Any objects that can fit through the receiving gate (supplies, people that sort of thing) will be rematerialized just fine.
