Well, Jaemal, Raph is still on the war path. And he's quickly becoming the last bad guy standing. And since they started this whole Angelic Civil War thing, they're going to have to show us some more of it. Your idea could very well be a plausible solution.

      Things to love:
-Cass getting some action! ( Pizzaman... XD I lol'd.)
-Soulless Sammy (I actually like him like this. His whiny, emotional self got on my nerves a bit. But him talking Meg down at the beginning? That was pure epic.)

      Things to hate:
-Death of Crowley (I think he was my favorite bad guy. Demons usually annoy me with their constant snark, but Crowley seemed more dignified than them. Plus, he was Mark Sheppard. Love that man.)
-The boys pushing Cass around. (This one was an annnoyance earlier on, but this episode especially, I got really pissed. Sam and Dean act like Cass is their attack dog. They call him in when they need backup and proceed to inform him--in raised tones--that his problems are nothing and he should help them. The dude is fighting angels. Give him a break and deal with your own problems! He doesn't yank you out of your fights and whine for your help battling a freaking archangel!!
The fact that Cass continues to help them makes me both irritated and pleased. He's just that great--that though he gets abused and barely any thanks and respect, he still cares about the brothers.)

      My review in a nutshell.

Since Crowley is a demon, when he dies he goes to Purgatory does he not? Nobody seems to have mentioned that little fact. What exactly did he want it for anyway? Was he trying to find someone? Maybe Lilith?

Some (I think) overlooked tidbits of awesomeness:
        1. Interrogation scene in the beginning. A brilliant way to setup Mark Sheppard talking to himself. And that iridium knife gambit was nice. ("I hope you appreciate how much effort I've gone to find something that can actually hurt you. Yeah, my tinkering has got several lesser shifters their lives. Iridium. Rarer than hell. Would have been cheaper to drop a castle on you, but I think we all agree, worth it.") Also, I noticed that the Alpha said "We'll make more", which implies that there may be more than one Alpha.

        2. Meg demonstrating the use of angel-killing blades to kill Hellhounds. But can it kill a demon? And, in the same vein, can Ruby's knife be used on things other than demons?

But I think what they did with the Grandpa was a horrible decision. It's one thing to have the character be standoffish and with suspicious motives but now they've just made him evil. It's awkward. This is the same mistake they made with Season 3 Bela.

BTW the porn watching was funny but let's not forget:

Sam: Cas, we found something. It's this--this gold box. Apparently Nazis were after it back in the day. Someone tried to open it and their face melted off. Think it's--ready for this? The Ark of the Covenant. Yeah. So...
Castiel: I'm here, Sam. Where's the box?

Excellent episode. I finally got to watch it last night after my DVR flubbed up last Friday. Cas was back in full form! Ya don't wanna mess with him...that's for sure. I loved when Samuel walked in on Cas watching porn in the hotel.

Probably a treat for the fans....
                What's next, Sam/Dean?

Not that it's a bad thing

They hate each other so much, yet there was a strange attraction. I guess they had to get it out of their systems.

I wanna say he told Dean it was hard enough for multiple angels just to pull Dean's soul out of Hell. Which means that a soul tortured by Michael and Lucifer in the Cage for over 100 years would need repairing beyond what he could do.

Given that Sam's soul was tortured close to 150 years, I got this number from some comments in Caged Heat, it would be nearly impossible for Cas to fix Sam's soul. Though knowing SPN like we all do. I'm sure that Sam will scratch the "itch" and Cas could probably be his only hope to not end up a mindless lump.

I think that's my one saving grace with this show. No matter what they do to the brothers, they will both brought back to life, healed, rescued, whatever is needed in the end. So while Sam may completely fall apart, I know at some point he will be intact, resembling something in one piece, in the end.

crowley has spent the first half of the season looking for purgatory, the place all creatures go when they die. Since cas killed crowley is it possible that cas actually sent crowley to purgatory? if purgatory happened to break loose could we possibly have the YED and lilith released?

Did anyone else change their mind about Rachel Miner playing Meg after seeing this episode? I still prefer Nicki Aycox's version but this time around she did a really great job and came off more convincing in the role! The Castiel/Meg scenes were very entertaining

I kinda liked her from the beginning. She does a good job of repeating Nicki Aycox's mannerisms but she definately shined through this time round even more. I think she plays a better second Meg than Genevieve Cortese made a second Ruby........ (Mind you I prefered the second Ruby to the first. It's just that they didn't come across as the same character.)
Please do me a huge favour and help me be with the love of my life.
