I miss Red Dwarf really badly. Whatever happened to the Red Dwarf Movie that they were planning?

ok just did some checking on the internet and things don't look so good. pre-production was getting a start in 2001, hopes for 2003, very close to production in 2004 for a 2005 release, but obviously that hasn't happened. My guess is everything fell through.
Filming was meant to be in Australia

Chloe Anette - I think she had a baby a couple of years ago, and hasn't done much acting since then

I notice there's a lack of Rimmer's salute in later seasons. Why is that? It's not Red Dwarf without the salute

Well I think they make up for it in Season VIII but I think its mainly due to the way the character progresses and after season V there was no real need to use it since the Dwarfers had more important things to do such as finding red dwarf.

i've watched red dwarf on and off since i was little, but one of my fave epsidoes is the backward episode. as you all seem to know the show so well would you be able to tell be what season it is and the name of the episode. coz i hav'nt seen it in such a long time. i especially love cats face at the end when he went to the loo. it was so funny. do any of you Brits know whether it will be on UKGold or UKDrama any time soon?

BTW, the reason the film hasn't been made is that they can't get funding. The BBC won't fund it. They have also tried other places and have been swindled and let down.
