    GermanAstra's Torchwood figures in action

Hi! Some of you might know my pictures with Stargate actionfigures. I recently spent a lot of money to upgrade to Torchwood and Doctor Who. Here is my first story:

    A Jack for everyone

Just an ordinary day in the Hub. Tosh and Gwen monitor the rift monitors. They found the equipment next door at "Primeval".

Jack and Ianto snog in Jack's office. When suddenly...

Coat Jack: "Fingers off my Ianto!" *angry*

Light blue Jack: "What do you mean, 'my Ianto'? That's mine!" *possessive*

Coat Jack: "I can't believe it. I did jump into the cold water of the bay, so the Hub would not be destroyed from the explosion, and you think you can come in here and make yourself home? Go back to the alternate reality where you came from!"

Dark blue Jack & Captain John Hart: "Hey, what's all the noise about?!?" *annoyed*

    Everyone: *gapes*

Light blue Jack: "So YOU have the dark blue shirt! And I searched for it everyhere. Take it off immediately!"

Dark blue Jack: "Maybe later!" *winks*

Tosh: "Okay, everyone quiet for a moment. I think I know what happened. When the bomb inside Jack ripped him apart, his body got rebuild from some very small pieces, replacing the missing ones. Every Jack is the right one. Your cells should communicate better with each other, to avoid multiplying!"

Gwen: "But that's fantastic! Now we finally can fulfill all the wishes of the fans. There's one Jack for Ianto, one for Captain John Hart and one for myself!" *happy*

Flight suit Jack: "And what about me?!" *sad*

Doctor: "Well, what about me?" *waves*

    Flight suit Jack: "Yay!" *snogs*

Only Tosh is standing alone among all the happy people around her and waits for her Owen. And she will have to wait a long time yet, since there has no actionfigure been made of him.

    The End

And a detailed picture of the desk:

An ordinary day in the Hub. Myfanwy is flying around.

Gwen and Tosh are working on their stations.

    Ianto is cleaning.

    Look at that mess!

Apparently they had pizza and donuts.

Jack is - reading a book?!?

Actually he is supposed to work on those reports - but he's reading.

He likes to read and has a whole book shelf.

Finally Gwen demands that he gets off his seat, because the rift monitor is making funny noises.

But Jack tells her she's in charge today and turns another page.

Gwen and Ianto catch a Weevil.

    Jack keeps reading.

The Hub's overrun by scary creatures who want to overtake the world.

Everyone gives their best to fight them.

    Jack keeps reading.

Finally they have enough. They demand to know what this is all about.

Gwen flicks through the pages - what's so special with this book?

    So Jack tells them.
"This a new book by that cute guy John Barrowman and his sister Carole. It's called 'Hollow Earth'. It's a sci-fi novel for young people. It's about twelve-year-old twins Matt and Em who can make their drawings come to life and get into the pictures themselves. People who can do that are called animaires."

"And I wonder how they know about them. It's not just sci-fi, they are real, I once met them. We have to go and retcon these Barrowman people. Are you coming, guys?"

    "Guys?"

Gwen distractedly waves Jack away with one hand and says: "You go alone, it just became very suspenseful, I have to read on." Ianto demands that Gwen reads it out loud to them and Tosh has spotted that two more books are planned. "We can't retcon them, Jack, not at least till they have written the rest! And there also probably shall be a tv series or even a movie..."

    Jack groans.

I have been asked for a sequel to the Hollow Earth story. I happily comply but not without reiterating that of course all credit for the original idea and making of the book still goes to Snow. *hugs*

And now please have fun seeing "Hollow Earth" going international, if not universal.

      Washington, D.C.:

FBI Agent Scully examinates something very strange.
"Mulder, I've never seen anything like this before, I really need your help here!"

      "...Mulder?!?"
But Mulder is reading a book.

Stargate-Center, Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado Springs, Colorado:

Major Samantha Carter, Dr. Daniel Jackson and Teal'c are ready for their mission to planet P3X-877. But their leader is still missing.
      "Colonel O'Neill, where are you?"

      "...Colonel?!?"
      "...Jack?!?"
      "...O'Neill?!?"
But Jack O'Neill is reading a book.

      Somewhere in the United States:

Batman is having a hard time against the Terminator.
"Superman, I really could need your help here!!!"

      "...Superman?!?"
But Superman is reading a book.

      Somewhere in the Universe:

Martha, Donna and Rose want to have fun together.
"Doctor, you promised to show us the Universe. We're ready to go, are you coming?"

      "...Doctor?!?"
But the Doctor is reading a book.

      Meanwhile in Cardiff, Wales:

Jack has to realize that he comes too late with retconning the authors. The line for the official book signing with John Barrowman in Cardiff is hundreds of meters long.

There are grandmothers with grandkids, mothers with children, men and women of all ages.

And everyone brought their own copy of the book.

It's too much, he can't retcon them all. He has to accept that the story of the Animares will be out there forever - but hopefully it also will remain to be just a fairytale.

      THE END

And here a glance at behind the scenes. If you want to know how I did the wirework for the flying Superman (and also Myfanwy in the previous post) - I used my kitchen shelf:

I do have a new story for you all.
The Torchwood team of course also joined in with all the celebrations for the Queen jubilee. And they didn't even have to fear of rain, setting their tables underground.

The Hub was decorated with a lot of flags, and also a lot of food was prepared:

Gwen already is sitting at the table, which is set with many wonderful things - notice the Union Jack paper plates!

        Ianto brings some tea:

        Only Tosh is still working:

Jack calls her over. "Tosh, put that thing away and join us!"

But Tosh refuses. "Jack, there is something you really need to see. It's important!"

What could be more important than to celebrate the jubilee? What did Tosh find? Come back tomorrow and find out!

To be continued in part 2: http://forum.gateworld.net/threads/7...1#post13414048

Here comes the second part of the Torchwood team celebrating the Queen jubilee. If you missed part 1, you can catch up here: http://forum.gateworld.net/threads/7...1#post13413015

We finished yesterday with Tosh having Jack something important to show. Click the link to see all the pictures to find out what it was!

"Jack, look - there's you right on the Belfry Barge!"

Jack says: "Can't be, as I am here right now, am I?" But when he sees the picture he can't quite deny it.

Tosh says: "I'm putting the footage onto the other screen as well for Ianto and Gwen I'm playing the video - now."

Gwen and Ianto have come over as well, worried. Ianto is silent but Gwen demands answers. "What is going on, Jack? How can you be in two places at once?"

Then Ianto shares a quiet observation after seeing the close-up on the screen.
"You look somewhat older. - It suits you!", he hastily adds after a sideway glance of Jack.

But Jack seems to be the only one not disturbed. "People, we still have a Jubilee to celebrate. If, and I stress, IF that's me from a far future, then I'm sure I will do everything to make this day perfect. Let's be cautious at the moment, as long as we don't know what's going on. You really don't want to interfere with things like this, and it could cause a paradoxon."

So, they all finally sat around the table and ate and drunk while poor Owen was laying at home, having the flu.

And here some coverage of the BBC of the Jubilee Pageant on the River Thames.

          There were lots of boats.

There were also lots of people at the streets, waving their flags.

Now where have I seen those two before?

The National Theatre greeted the Queen with her favourite play "War Horse".

            Part 1/2

The Torchwood team is baking Christmas cookies in Tosh's kitchen.

Tosh is rolling out the dough.

On the table we have all incredients, tools and even a cook book.

            Gwen is mixing the eggs.

She should be more careful though...

... as some already have hit the ground.

Now let's have a closer look at the kitchen.

Ianto is rolling dark and light dough together.

Then he cuts off black and white checkered cookies.

Jack is more concerned where to put his stocking to get it filled.

He's also trying to teach them how to bake cookies. As if they didn't know!

To distract him, Tosh sends him to the fridge to get out more eggs.

Jack is wondering about some of the stuff Tosh keeps in her fridge.

              Part 2/2

In the meantime, Tosh is starting to cut out the cookies.

The bell does remind Jack of the Daleks and he asks her to please do just round cookies.

Then Gwen is putting the baking tin into the oven.

Someone should have watched them, though...

They only realize that something is wrong when dark smoke is coming out.

Jack tries to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher.

But the neighbours already called the fire brigade.

They get a dressing down by one of the men.

Tosh has to put the dark cookies into the trash.

So they make a new batch. Gwen is also putting some icing on.

Ianto is washing the dishes in the meantime.

Finally they can sit down and relax...

              ... and eat their cookies.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda! Fröhliche Weihnachten und ein Frohes Neues Jahr!

Here is a new story which I made after a fanfiction which I loved. It's called "Music and Monsters" and can be read here: http://doctorwho.livejournal.com/7341951.html

So I could not resist making an action figure story out of it, with her permission of course. The lines between the pictures are exact quotes from the story. There is even a video among the pictures this time - I am upgrading! This is only part 1/2 so there will be more for the last chapter of the story. Enjoy!

                *******

And then the MC shouted “Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Torchwood!” The curtain rose. The crowd screamed - For us!. Gwen marvelled, dizzy with it for a second-as Jack raised his arms in appreciation, basking in the applause. Jack and his ego. Then Owen began to lay down a rhythm, Tosh followed him with a sweet electricky keyboard chiming, and Gwen let a grin split her face as she and her guitar chimed in with the lick that began Everything Changes.

Ianto might be terminally eccentric, with his suits, his non-sequiturs, his coffee fixation and his stuffed pterodactyl. (Its name was Myfanwy, apparently, and it served as the band’s mascot.) But he could make that sax of his weep like an angel on a Saturday night, tired of being good all week and hoping for a beer. And he was no small talent as a songwriter, either.

Owen’s drumming rumbled down into your bones and pulsed inside your spine.

                Video of Owen drumming: http://s137.beta.photobucket.com/use...9db68.mp4.html

Tosh’s keyboard stylings were as perfect and delicate as silicon chips.

And Jack - Jack had a voice as rich as Ianto’s coffee, full of passion and insinuation, and a smile and a wink that was pure showman.

Sometimes Gwen felt a bit intimidated by how good they all were. But jamming with them...well, it had really inspired her to push herself. And now her guitar-playing shone as never before.

Tosh began to pick out one last tune. Owen picked up the beat, Gwen the melody, and Jack whooped with delight and began to sing: “Come out, Ianto, don’t let me wait! You Catholic boys start much too late, but sooner or later it comes down to fate. I might as well be the one...”

The audience screamed again at the Torchwood finale. And Torchwood rocked.

Thank you LOL I just have so much fun with those figures! I do "Stargate" stories and "Doctor Who" stories as well, if you want to check them out? The "Doctor Who" stories have their own thread as well: http://forum.gateworld.net/threads/8...ures-in-action but the Stargate stories are mixed with those from others (which are also good) here: http://forum.gateworld.net/threads/4...kers-beware%29

You are not from Eastern Germany by any chance? Because that wooden table with chairs, as well as the kitchen are indeed back from my childhood days. Other miniature stuff, like all the kitchen items and food, I have just recently bought, you would surprised how many miniature shops are out there. These are not toys, these are for adults who want to furnish a doll house.

Actually I AM German, too But not from "drüben", I uesd to study in DD fore a couple of years so I MIGHT have walkt passed you . I'm still surpriesed how many Whofians an Torchwoodfans there seem to be here. When I found out about it I thought, its only some freaks like my friends who know about it (freaky in a good way, though, of course).
Don't know, where I got these furniture from, I was too young. I know, that this stuff isn't intended for children, at least not only. But I did have it for my doll house and uesd to play with it.

Heh! Then you MUST check out my "The Doctor visits me in Dresden" story - I showed him all the sights! http://forum.gateworld.net/threads/8...1#post13271898

Actually, you can find much more "Torchwood" fans in Germany than from "Doctor Who". Simply because Pro7 stopped airing it after the second season (and now though it's back it's only on a pay TV channel), I also forgot about it and came back some years later in 2009 through the back door with "Torchwood", which was dutyfully aired and repeated by RTL2 right after "Stargate".

I explained that once to an American friend and she said I just enlightened her why the third big group giving feedback to her Torchwood stories, after US and UK, were Germans. Apparently in the US it is the other way round - everyone has at least heard of Doctor Who, but Torchwood, not so much.

My goal is though to make everyone aware that Captain Jack Harkness/John Barrowman also sings/dances/entertains, I only became a huge fan of him once I had found out about THAT. Nobody told me. Could have had all the fun years earlier!

Yeah, I heared about this before. I still have to get uesed to the thaught, I like somthing with is airing on RTLII. Usually I avoid watching this channal. Well.. I stoped watching most of the private channels as well, since there is so much advertisment and I haven't got a TV anyway . Somehow it's a shame that they show Doctor Who only on pay TV but to be honest: Who wants to watch Doctor Who in German? Really? I tried watcin one of the eps on DVD with my flatmate. We didn't stand the first five minutes. It's just horrible, what they've done to it. Same this Torchwood. I tried the synchronized version on You Tube. Slightly better but still intolerable.

My goal is though to make everyone aware that Captain Jack Harkness/John Barrowman also sings/dances/entertains, I only became a huge fan of him once I had found out about THAT. Nobody told me. Could have had all the fun years earlier!
I discovered that he sings musical and stuff some weeks ago. That was when I definitely fell in love with this man. (Though I started "chrushing" (if you want to call it like that) on him, as soon as I started watching Torrchwood.) I uesed to be a huge musical fan. And he has such a beautyfull voice. He definitively revived my passion for this kind of music.

This story was done together with a friend, whom at least half of the miniature stuff belongs to. I was waiting to post these till we actually have Spring, but since it doesn't seem to get here this year, have some action figure theatre! The Doctor and Jack are gardening in the Spring (part 1/3)

The Doctor and Jack enjoy some time off.

                            Jack has sown some vegetables.

The Doctor has no idea what to do with this strange tool.

The TARDIS has been changed into a rabbit hutch (the original idea belongs to someone from our German TTT forum, who did this in real size - awesome! It's what inspired this whole gardening AFT)

Then Jack helps the Doctor and shows how to plant the turnips.

Finally Jack is watering the plants.

Oops, sorry I just realized I never gave you the second part for the "Torchwood as a band" story. Here it comes:

So sorry I kept you waiting so long for this second part. I was occupied with other stuff which I can't wait to show you. So, if you already have forgotten about the first part of Torchwood as a band, you can find the pictures here

And here's the link to the fanfiction again which inspired it all in the first place: http://doctorwho.livejournal.com/7341951.html

Quote: The rest of the band still hadn’t come down from the ecstatic high of music and exhaustion when Jack led the man into their dressing room. Gwen thought she recognised his spiked hair and Clark Kent glasses from the audience, but she was too tired to be sure. He was bouncing on the balls of his feet like there was still music playing, and grinning from ear to ear.

“Magnifico! Molto bene!” he exclaimed, darting from member to member of the band to shake their hands enthusiastically. “I wasn’t sure about you when I first heard about you, but once I’d seen you in concert, well...I’m from Blue Box Records. D’you think we can negotiate?”
