I suspect the Syfy will start using web series as back room pilots.

This sounds great. Should have been a fully fledged series rather than caprica (I like Caprica, I just can't help but think it should have been just a miniseries then follow it up with a first cylon war storyline.)

I'd like to imagine that it could start with a young Adama still in training for the war. Not actually fighting but you do get to see him him deal with the rock hard veterans of the time as well as feature just how the Colonies maintained spirits during the war. The propaganda used and the level of patriotism. In fact it would be nice to have a Journalist as a main character as well as they write a story on the training Viper Jocks go through.

I'm not too sure about the idea that Ron Moore isn't really working on it. But hopefully if they used BSG as their main inspiration then it should still be awesome.

Not even the name is original. I predict this show will crash and burn too. BSG itself was never a ratings champion, and I suspect the dark and gritty atmosphere and soap elements from the previous shows will stay.
