For those that are classic movie buffs like me, he also played Sam Tipton, the witness with the non-prescription reading glasses in the film "My Cousin Vinney".

R.I.P. Maury Chaykin with condolences and respect to family and friends.

I know the name Nerus but i can't quite pin it down. Was he the Goa'uld with the huge appitite?

Yes, he was. This is him.
And now it's time for one last bow, like all your other selves. Eleven's hour is over now... the clock is striking Twelve's.

This is sad I love Nerus! Funniest character I had seen on the show for ages!

I remember him for the movie Mouse Hunt, I loved that movie as a kid
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint... it happens to kinda look like the name 'Jeremy Bearimy' in cursive English.

I couldn't help it, when I found this out I cried and when I saw the tribute to him in the "In Memoriam" section of the Oscars, I bawled like a baby. He was so absolutely hilarious as Nerus and he will always be the detective character Nero Wolfe to me. Maury, we love you so much and will so miss you.

I raise my "individually frosted cake" in his memory.

                    RIP, Mr. Chaykin.

He was very "interesting". Like Stargate itself, I will be mourning him.
Time is what keeps everything from happening all at once.

You know it is a tribute when 5 years later we are still mourning him. Mr. Chaykin was one of a kind.
