    Building the 3D Destiny Model

    Hi,

I happened across this site by Jose Perez. He talks about designing the Destiny and has 10 or so older designs of the ship in detailed Jpegs!

old news.. atleast for us within the CGI community and alot of my fellow modelers have made their own versions of it using Jose's concepts as a base for theirs. me included.

Jose is also the man behind the 304 and the atlantis model used from s2 onwards.

here are my attempts at the destiny 3D mesh.

                    great effort

AND I think we are still left with the impression that STILL not all areas of the Destiny have been explored? is that right? when they found the stasis pods THAT was a new area of the ship just recently "found"?

great looking ship - yeah very nice indeed

compare to the ship in EVENT HORIZON, which is bigger?
