So has no one explained to the Lucien Alliance that Destiny is worthless?

Seriously! Especially when compared to Atlantis and all of the other cool stuff they could steal from Earth in the Milky Way.

    1. They have absolutely no chance of taking over Atlantis, as it's either heavily guarded, shielded, cloaked, and sitting in the middle of San Francisco Bay... or it's heavily guarded, shielded, and probably flanked by a few DSC-304s in the far-off Pegasus Galaxy.

    2. The ship has Ancient technology far beyond that of the Lucian Alliance, from shields capable of diving into a star to a power generator that will never run out of fuel. It's a treasure trove of stuff that's way more accessible to them than the much-more-advanced stuff on Atlantis.

Except the Lucian Alliance has no way of bringing any of the Destiny tech back to the Milky Way.

Also, considering how badly compromised Stargate Command is, it wouldn't be too far fetched for the Lucian Alliance to steal advanced tech from earth.

How exactly would that technology be useful to the Lucian Alliance? They're not explorers, they're space pirates.

It's a step on the learning curve. Which makes it extremely valuable to both Earthlings and Aliens.

Im betting that theres more to the Destiny then what we know so far... there have been some pretty creepy goings on, like franklin disappearing, its weird FTL, the fact that it seems to have been a top secret mission even with the ancients, the computer system being so heavily locked... theres a lot to be explained, and I dunno about ye but Id personally be fairly disappointed if there isn't something amazing (like on the scale of the dakara weapon in terms of importance) aboard the ship
I dunno what to put in here now..

It is a rather thin premise for a story, unless the LA has some yet to be revealed plan to get all their spoils back home. Honestly, why would they be working so hard to get to Destiny, only to be stuck out there? It makes no sense...yet.

But not every weapon is useful in every situation. If the Lucian Alliance wanted to fight a million year war against a species 10 billion light years away from the Milky Way then the technology in Destiny would be invaluable.

It would only make sense for the Lucian Alliance to invest in technologies that would be useful in the kinds of enemies they have to fight. So far, the Destiny has yet to display any technology that would be very useful against earth. Sure they have shields that can withstand a star but that doesn't mean it'll work against weapons, much less the Asgard pwnage beams. It's the same thing with the Destiny's weapons, we don't really know how powerful they are but considering how old they are, they probably can't even match the firepower of Anubis/Baal upgraded Ha'taks. As for the Destiny's ability to fly for millions of years unmanned over billions of light years, the Lucian Alliance has no use for that. Maybe they can pick apart the AI and do something else with it but sophisticated AI's already exist and no one puts them to full use.

They can send the know-how on the stuff itself back via communication stones, not difficult. And how is that stuff not valuable, as you implied later on? This stuff is all way more advanced than anything the Goa'uld have, and that alone makes it well-worth the effort. Who would buy it? Are you kidding me? Who wouldn't!?

                              What?

A handgun isn't useful for an combating an army, that doesn't make it something to ignore. A ship that gets its power directly from a star could probably be converted into something that can destroy stars. To say nothing of the defense possibilities of shielding that can survive the trip through a star.

Nobody says you need to bring a sample back, all you need is a gifted mind with an understanding of how it works in order to replicate it back in our neck of the woods.
