Carey Meyer (production designer: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly) will be speaking at a Design Symposium at the University of Redlands Saturday, May 22nd. The University is also pleased to welcome June Hudson (costume designer: Doctor Who, Are You Being Served) and Theatre Arts Visiting Artist Chrisi Karvonides (Carnivale, Batman Returns) who will be on hand to discuss and answer questions on design for fantasy television and film.
Afterwards, symposium guests are welcome to attend the closing reception of "Seriously Strange: Harry Pottle in Avengerland", a student-curated exhibit on Production Design for Television, in the Armacost Library. The day is the culmination and celebration of the work of students in THA 260.03: Designing for Science Fiction Television. Refreshments will be served.
The Symposium will be held at 2:30p in Gregory Hall Room 161
The reception will follow at 4p in the Armacost Library
