It is possible that Amanda Perry's body is still alive back on earth, though in a catatonic state. Poor Ginn's body is undoubtedly space dust.

I hope they dont somehow kill her for the second time and they use some deus ex machina to bring her back, and hopefuly Mandy to....i miss my favorite two female characters on this show.

Compare to SGA for example; 1 lead role is female ( Teyla ) but apart from the Michael-kindred thing her role was more to point out stuff or make some statements on the situation like "the gate is blocked" "there are wraith nearby" etc. but rarely the meaty dialogue

Male soldiers and scientists that should be elsewhere? No, I don't think either should be, but if the writers need them to be, then why not both? Why is James helping, but not Greer? Why is Park helping, but not Volker or Brody? I suspect the writers (consciously or not) are putting them there because they're women.

You got a point. I still do not find it overly sexist though. If you think deep enough almost everything can be suspected of sexism and attacked in the name of gender-equality

Why are only 2 out of god knows howmany military characters female ( james, T.J. )
Why do female characters die the most? ( Keeva, Ginn, Perry )
Why are all/most the familymembers left behind female? ( sharon, mrs wallace, mrs. armstrong, Emily? )
Etc.

While Volker, Brody and Park are scientists, Park's areas of expertise appear to be related to astronomy and geology. Volker is an Astrophysicist. Brody has an understanding of Ancient computers and their language.

If two scientists were needed in an emergency situation to repair/run Destiny's systems, I'd pick Volker and Brody, NOT because they're males, but because their expertise is more applicable.

It should be pointed out that Volker and Greer are the ones on the beds, so it'd be a bit difficult to have them help. With that in mind, the others playing nurse is not so hard to accept.

I believe Volker was under gunpoint in divided, and Greer was the one holding him under gunpoint.

Still doesn't really answer why James would be there. She was one of the soldiers guarding the prisoners too, but then randomly leaves to help TJ, just like she randomly was helping her during the battle in Space too. In fact in any medical situation either her, or Park or both are buzzing around playing nurse. Park was again in Time I believe too. A new person helped out with the injured in Intervention of course, but guess who? Wray!

Wasn't Wray forced to swap with a doctor? I believe they took 5 random civilians and used the stones.

Of all ( main ) characters I'd expect Wray most to be helping in the infirmary. The scientists and soldiers have other tasks in a battle, but Wray's got nothing to do else but.. paperwork?

I'd be the first to jump on the sexist band wagon. Didn't Greer and Scott offer to help in Sabotage or Space. I think the lack of female scientists on SGU reflects the sad reality of the lack of female scientists in general, maybe James knows more about medicine or just wants to help. I think Chole and Wray instead of being Emo should be helping TJ as they are nither milltary or scientists and have alot of time on their hands. I tend to think Park does have more experience in Medicine maybe she did biology in college like TJ did psychology.

Cool, the chess set is finished. It's nice to see Eli and Rush socialising even though I was hoping to see Young and Rush playing chess.

It was interesting to see Eli and Rush playing, since we always hoped it was Young playing Rush, but Perhaps it was more of a metaphor for their butting heads than an actual game.
