    They could have immediate redial the gate with fluffy hanging around and use the puddle splash to kill it. Just do it a few times, it'll get curious enough.

    Why did Scott hang back taking pop shots at this thing? Could Fluffy have transited the gate if it hit the event horizon before it closed?

    Too bad they weren't within shuttle range, I'm sure that thing eats smaller prey. They might have been able to get some meat for the first time in 3+ months!

    I personally thought it looked liked an Elcor from the Mass Effect series, but sort of standing on 4 legs. I don't know, to be honest as soon as i saw it i instantly thought Elcor?
