    Philip K. Dick's "A Scanner Darkly"

Philip K. Dick fan? Rich Linklater fan?

Looks like Linklater is doing a graphic novel style make of "A Scanner Darkly". I am looking foward to this. I hope it is good. It looks like the same type of animation as "Waking Life" but more detailed.

Link to AICN article and three movie stills:

Starring: Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder, Robert Downey Jr., Woody Harrelson and Rory Cochrane.
Link to movie summary on PKD site:

Direct links to two of my favorite stills from movie...not image linked as they are 1024 so would have to scroll within the forum to see.

I love that book! It will be interesting to see the changes that occur in a film, because despite being set in the near(?) future, the book had a very 60s/70s feel to it.

Yep I also thought so! I read that a lot of the story has roots in Philip K Dick's own substance abuse (and its associated ill effects) during that time period.

I feel the animation style will suit the atmosphere, and story nicely.
