Long before you and I were born, others beat these benches with their empty cups,
To the night and its stars, to the here and now with who we are.

Another sunrise with my sad captains, with who I choose to lose my mind,
And if it's all we only pass this way but once, what a perfect waste of time.

And, that's another sci-fi show cancelled by Fox.

God forbid I should have to defend FOX, but to be fair, SAaB's ratings were in the toilet. And TV networks are there to make money, not throw it away.

Related TV trivia: Space Above and Beyond's showrunners, James Wong and Glen Morgan, were also heavily involved in the X-Files franchise. Morgan was one of the original folks involved in developing The X-Files before it made it to TV, and the pair of them went on to be the showrunners for all three seasons of XF spinoff series Millennium. Glen Morgan is also the elder brother of X-Files & Millennium writer Darin Morgan.
