    Stargate and Music

If you could assign music to the major races of the Stargate universe. What genre or song would you assign? What would be the sound of each one?

    Tau'ri - rock, alternative
    Ancient - epic scores
    Asgard - electronic
    Tok'Ra - chillout, relaxation
    Goa'uld - war chant
    Ori - choir
    Wraith - heavy metal

If you can think of any other races, please do so.

Indeed. Classical for the Ancients. That would be cool. For example, Beethoven's Symphony no. 9 could be a preparation for war piece.

Hmmm, these are all classical, but... (there are links to YT in case you aren't familiar with these pieces! )

Tau'ri - Presto from Vivaldi's "Summer" (from The Four Seasons)
Ancient - Andante Festivo by Jean Sibelius
Asgard - "Sonnenaufgang" from Richard Strauss' Also Sprach Zarathustra
Tok'Ra - "Royal March of the Lions" from Camille Saint-Saens' Carnival of the Animals
Goa'uld - "Toccata" from Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor
Ori - "Mars, the Bringer of War" from Holst's The Planets suite
Wraith - "The Ride of the Valkyries" from Richard Wagner's Die Walküre

....and yes, I spent way too much time on this! But hey, it was fun!!

What about the Jaffa? I'd think something loud and bombastic, and proud, but also think that could be too obvious. They could also get a nice quiet, uplifting piece (sorry I can't think of any specific songs right now)

The Nox - some kind of new-agey, ethereal music. Like Enya, except even less structural.

Or like Zhaan's singing from Farscape, if anyone watches that.
