Good story, great enemy, great dialogue ("You're Scottish - fry something" and "I'm never saying that again" made me laugh), I definitely like Amy (in every sense), and I can't believe that after so much time, so much anticipation, speculation and hype...it actually exceeded my expectations.

That was well worth the wait. And I just have to try fish fingers and custard now...

And now it's time for one last bow, like all your other selves. Eleven's hour is over now... the clock is striking Twelve's.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!

I thought Matt Smith stepped into the Doctor's shoes with ease. I like Amy and the new TARDIS. Wasn't too sure about the new title sequence but I think it will grow on me.

I recorded Confidential & so I'm off to watch that now.

Loved it - eventually. At the start I couldn't like the Doctor - throwing all that food about and not saying please or thank you, it brought out the mum in me. I realised after a bit that Amy didn't mind it though, so I got over it. I started to really like him when he said that "everything's going to be fine" was just a thing people say when they want children to feel better... and then said that everything was going to be fine.

Matt Smith is good, I think I'm going to like this Doctor a lot. The trailer at the end had some interesting looking scenes. Stonehenge and River Song in particular. The thing about the Panoptiwhatsit opening and the cracks in the universe might be this year's Bad Wolf. I'm intrigued anyway.

I missed it on TV, but watched it on iPlayer. Was totally worth butchering my bandwidth as this episode was fantastic.

I had my doubts about Moffat taking over and had a few concerns with Matt Smith being the youngest Doctor ever but this episode blew that out of the water. I think Matt Smith will be a fantastic Doctor and if this episode is anything to go by, Moffat will do a brilliant job with the rest of the season.

Watching the clips of all previous 10 Doctors then Smith walking through Tennant and telling the aliens to run sent a shiver down my back. That moment alone made me a supporter of him. #

Only thing I didn't like, the new openining and ending credits.

I was waiting all day with baited breath all through work, so I can safely say that I was not dissapointed. If anything it was too short. Doctor Who always has this tendency to be so good that 45 minutes feels like a whole movie.....But THIS was so good that it made an hour seem like half the time.

Loved the new theme. It was fresh and exciting and the opening titles themselves look great. I love the look of the new vortex, esspecially with all that energy buffeting the TARDIS around. Makes alot of sense considering how bumpy those trips can be.

The rest of the soundtrack was also amazing. I really can't wait for the album to come out for it. Murrary Gold does it again for sure.

So..... New new new new new new new new new new Doctor......................I do believe this guy is gonna be my favorite. Matt Smith has all the energy of his age and yet and the same time you see the 11th Doctor and you have no doubt in your head that he is a millenia old Timelord. Complete with the typical Doctor like threats. I esspecially love his new look. Definately just like The Doctor should be. Odd. But I knew that already.

As for Amy well what can I say? I do believe the majority of male fans watched that episodes with their mouths hanging open.

As for the episode itself it was just fantastic. And one point I felt it might have been a little too faced pace. But then again I think that might have been just me not wanting it to end. Certainly Patient Zero was cool. A completely original enemy, same with his jailers. Course just as every Doctor Who minor villain does, they ran as soon as they realised who the Timelord was.........good for them........they may live for now.
Please do me a huge favour and help me be with the love of my life.

I had my doubts about Matt Smith as the Doctor.

Fortunatly, those doubts were laid to rest!

This first episode was absolutly brilliant story-wise and most of the effects were great.

                Few things I didn't like:
                1. I thought the Attraxi ships looked kinda stupid to be honest. The big eye was cool but the ships themselves just didn't look great.
                2. I like the new theme tune variant. What I didn't really like was the new time vortex. Looks like a WMP 11 skin.
                3. I still say the new TARDIS interior was way too clutered. The center column had a odd look to it.
                4. Didn't like that weird zooming around effect when the Doctor was looking through all those peoples phones to find that Nurse guy.

I'm going to miss the old TARDIS interior. It was like saying bye to a dear friend that you won't ever see again. Same with the old Sonic Screwdriver. The new Sonic Screwdriver looked great though. Good to see that the Doctor didn't have to time travel back to the Sonic Factories of Villengard just to get the new Sonic Screwdriver. The TARDIS just 'knew' that the Doctor wanted a new one, which reiterates that the TARDIS is still alive and looking after the Doctor in some way.

Swapped out bananas for fish fingers, custard and apples now. Lol'd.

I lol'd when the Doctor burst in on Jeff while he was so obviously watching porn.

Should be a great series. Glad that Moffat still acknowledged the previous 10 Doctors.

Teselecta: "Silence will fall when the question is asked."

Doctor: "And what is the question?"

Teselecta: "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"

                Doctor: " *Brainfart* ".

I feared that my interest in Doctor Who would come to an end with Matt Smith in the role. But no! I really enjoyed the opening episode for the new Doctor. I can only think of one word the minute.

                  Refreshing.

It was the best start to a new series since it was brought back imo.

I thought the story was a bit too chaotic for my taste but it also had a lot of good things. The eleventh doctor is really one crazy loon. I LOVED the scene when he ordered those aliens back to the rooftop and we saw all the incarnations of the doctor and he says "RUN" I am not sure yet about Amelia. I loved her intro. That she was in fact that little girl and that she has been waiting for the doctor all her life to return. The best bit was the much more extended trailer at the end of the episode. I never had a clear look of the woman in blond until this evening but now I couldn't help but squee. It IS Alex Kingston as River Song and there was of course Bill Nighy (which makes me equally happy). I like the new intro BTW. I am not sure yet about the theme. It seems like a weird mix between very old and very new. I wasn't sure if I would like the new interior of the TARDIS but I have to say that I do like it. It is steampunkish and retro yet has some elements of the previous TARDIS.
He's like fire, ice and rage. He's like the night, and the storm in the heart of the sun.
He's ancient and forever. He burns at the centre of time and he can see the turn of the universe.
                            And he's wonderful.

I thought the new interior looked like a cross between the classic tardis from the old series and the new design. Maybe the Tardis reset to factory settings when it rebuilt itself

                                overall very strong start.

i like the modern look of the series it all ready feels different. 11 is def more out going them ten but 11doesn't relay on gagents as much (proof from the comment about not having the tardis or scerw driver. bunch of funny lines the mad man with a box line fits perfeclty. i like amy hopefully she won't be a wimp when the doctor encounters probelms.

the new tardis is brillant much more appealing i like that the main console sits on a higher level.

can't wait for the rest of the series.
