    Loved it. Absolutely loved it.

This series is going to be incredible.

    Also, on the making-of, thought the label of the 'cut' thing was interesting;

Really enjoyed this, Matt Smith is going to be a great Doctor, It'll take a bit of time to form an opinion on Amy tho, Who was she marrying, the nurse?

I really enjoyed this. I wasn't sure I was going to like Matt Smith at first, but after this episode I thought he was great as The Doctor.

New Doctor, new companion, new Tardis, new music, new titles....

Still the same greatness of Doctor Who
If found, is probably lost on the way to Azaroth or the Pegasus Galaxy

Brilliant - absoutely brilliant. Matt Smith made the Doctor his own and pulled it off with ease.

Hmmmm. I have to say that I absolutely don't see any need to mess with the title music.

I nearly cried at one point though, and I thought the story was grat (but then, it would be with that writer)

For me, Matt Smith was doing too much of a David Tenant, but I can live with it if it's just a temporary thing until his character settles in.

But oh my, get a different outfit! Those trousers are horrible.

    I thought it was great.
It felt like "my" Dr Who was back, although I can't quite articulate why that shoud be.
Matt Smith had me from the get go; madly chanelling Tennant's 10 until he became himself. Liked Amy too.
I, too, happily raise my hand and say my doubts were unfounded.
This is going to be good ...

Well I was an Eccleston gal myself.....I lost my way during the latter parts of DT's reign, so it's nice for me to be "re-enthused" by a great performance from Matt Smith......looking forward to the rest of the series already!...

    Great new season opener
Had my doubts about Matt Smith but I think hes going to be just fine (Going to have to change my siggie now =P)
Quite a few good funny lines in the episode, especially when the boys watching porn and he tells him to get a girlfriend and "Oh, and delete your internet history" and when he calls the TARDIS sexy
But what have they done to the theme tune lol, but thats the only thing i didnt like which is good
Looking forward to seeing whats to come, looks like theres going to be some amazing visual effects
All i can say is really, next week please...

Utterly spectacular. Not so sure about the new TARDIS, but I think it'll grow on me - same with the titles and theme. But Matt Smith...wow. This guy was born to play The Doctor. Something tells me that in a few years he's going to be up there with Tom Baker as far as classic Doctors go.

Good story, great enemy, great dialogue ("You're Scottish - fry something" and "I'm never saying that again" made me laugh), I definitely like Amy (in every sense), and I can't believe that after so much time, so much anticipation, speculation and hype...it actually exceeded my expectations.

That was well worth the wait. And I just have to try fish fingers and custard now...
And now it's time for one last bow, like all your other selves. Eleven's hour is over now... the clock is striking Twelve's.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!

I thought Matt Smith stepped into the Doctor's shoes with ease. I like Amy and the new TARDIS. Wasn't too sure about the new title sequence but I think it will grow on me.

I recorded Confidential & so I'm off to watch that now.

Loved it - eventually. At the start I couldn't like the Doctor - throwing all that food about and not saying please or thank you, it brought out the mum in me. I realised after a bit that Amy didn't mind it though, so I got over it. I started to really like him when he said that "everything's going to be fine" was just a thing people say when they want children to feel better... and then said that everything was going to be fine.

Matt Smith is good, I think I'm going to like this Doctor a lot. The trailer at the end had some interesting looking scenes. Stonehenge and River Song in particular. The thing about the Panoptiwhatsit opening and the cracks in the universe might be this year's Bad Wolf. I'm intrigued anyway.

I missed it on TV, but watched it on iPlayer. Was totally worth butchering my bandwidth as this episode was fantastic.

I had my doubts about Moffat taking over and had a few concerns with Matt Smith being the youngest Doctor ever but this episode blew that out of the water. I think Matt Smith will be a fantastic Doctor and if this episode is anything to go by, Moffat will do a brilliant job with the rest of the season.

Watching the clips of all previous 10 Doctors then Smith walking through Tennant and telling the aliens to run sent a shiver down my back. That moment alone made me a supporter of him. #

Only thing I didn't like, the new openining and ending credits.
