    Some animals have lots of fur

    Some strange aliens - if they wanted flowers but no bees

      I have to say... My favourite part of this episode was finally getting to see the best ship-board view of Destiny jumping to FTL. Excellent sound effects, brilliant visuals that we really didn't see again - like the strongly contrasting 'cloudy' effects of traveling FTL being cast across the ship. I'm such a geek sometimes haha.

      They did do the ship-board view of jumping to FTL in Divided I think, where Scott & young were on the shuttle and just managed to dock in time, but nothing quite as pretty as in Faith. I just love the audio and visuals of this show... really going to miss that aspect

        Really liked that they left everything a mystery. I don't see a reason why everything needs a explanation when dealing with aliens.

        Love the faith vs science aspect of the episode also. I also like know there are aliens more powerful or advanced than the ancients.

          Well that was a more relaxed episode after all the fighting. The planet they stayed on reminded me of the place they filmed Battlestar Galactica scenes, I kept expecting the BSG cast to turn up or be seen in the distance!
          Caine seems very spiritual and philosophical, I wonder if this will come out more in further episodes. Probably why he wasn't keen on having a soldier for a girlfriend.
          In a way I wanted the entire crew to stay on the planet, but then we'd never know what Destiny was up to.
          Quite surprised there aren't more pregnancies among the crew at this stage due to all the sex going on. When will TJ tell Young...
          And will we find out who the Genesis device aliens are.
          ~~~I like to see both sides of things~~~
            It's most likely the same region where BSG was filmed.
            I think Caine really had a bit of a crush on TJ, but his faith is more important to him than to be with her.
            TJ got pregnant before they arrived on Destiny, but yeah, a lot of people wondered about that too.
              What is Caine's job? I know he must be a scientist but its unusual to find a scientist with a strong faith in something else. I did think however he was starting to sound like a cult leader at one point.
              They must have brought a huge suitcase of contraception
              Yes, we imagined the BSG crew coming up saying 'Oi! Get off our land! We're filming here!'
              That bloke who didn't want to dig the latrine! Really! It was only digging, its not like someone would be using the latrine while he was digging!
                Cain is some kind of a computer specialist. Being a scientist and having faith doesn't contradict each other, think about Einstein, he believed in god, though he was maybe not in a conventional way religious.
                I got at some point the idea that Destiny maybe does this, putting a contraception in the water!
                Ah, I think that guy was Morrison, you haven't seen the last of him. He's a background character but also an interesting guy!
                Yeah, those Canadian filming studios, but you must say the landscape is great!
                  Oh I didn't know that about Einstein. I've just got this friend, he goes on and on about how science is the answer, faith is wrong etc. I thought they were incompatible.
                    Many people have that us vs them mentality. Its the wrong kind IMO. Science deals with only the natural world and religion by definition is supernatural
                      It was a nice break and great to see everyone get together and relax a bit. It was such a stark contrast for them to be out in the open and away from the dark oppressive ship, giving an opportunity to rebuild the relationship between the civilians and military.
                      It was the same place, they've filmed a lot of shows and movies there, SG-1's 'Paradise Lost' was filmed there too. It's a lovely place called Widgeon Creek and it's a nature reserve. You can paddle up there in a canoe from Pitt Lake which is one of my favourite places to go and relax with the wonderful scenery so it's no surprise that it's used a lot for location filming.
                        Yes, my friend has fallen out with so many people because he is obsessed with science and nothing else is right in his opinion. He tried falling out with me but I wouldn't let him.
                          It certainly did look nice, I still don't know why they didn't stay there
                            I guess because staying there meant giving up all hope of ever getting home?
                              And it would be a really short series too
