Pinto joins Cavill's 'War Of The Gods'

Freida Pinto has joined the cast of Henry Cavill's War Of The Gods movie, says Variety. The Slumdog Millionaire star will play oracle priestess Phaedra, who teams up with warrior Theseus (Cavill) in an attempt to stop an epic battle with the immortal Greek gods.

The Fall's Tarsem Singh is directing the film for Universal, with 300 producers Mark Canton and Gianni Nunnari involved behind the scenes. Universal is to release War Of The Gods, which is due to being production in April.

Mickey Rourke joins 'War Of The Gods'

Mickey Rourke will play villain King Hyperion in War Of The Gods, says Variety.

Henry Cavill and Freida Pinto have already been lined up to star in the mythological epic, which will be helmed by The Fall director Tarsem Singh.

Produced by the team that made the similar sword and sandals blockbuster 300, War Of The Gods centres on warrior Theseus (Cavill) as he teams up with oracle priestess Phaedra (Pinto) to battle with the immortal Greek gods. Universal and Relativity Media are backing the movie, which is slated to begin production next month.

'Twilight' star for 'War of the Gods'

Twilight actor Kellan Lutz has reportedly joined upcoming feature War of the Gods.

Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen in the Twilight films, will portray sea god Poseidon in the new project, says The Hollywood Reporter.

War of the Gods centres on a battle between the Greek gods to restore balance to mankind.

Stephen Dorff joins 'War of the Gods'

Stephen Dorff has boarded upcoming Greek mythology action feature War of the Gods.

The Blade actor joins Mickey Rourke, Kellan Lutz, Henry Cavill and Freida Pinto in the project, reports Variety.

Dorff will portray a master thief named Stavros who joins Theseus (Cavill) in his battle against the immortal Greek gods.
